Raptors Bargnani: I do not know if I will stay in Toronto

Maybe someone can translate this for us better than google, but as far as I can gather, he basically acknowledges the uncertainty of him staying in Toronto and understands that as the teams best player that he will be the most scrutinized.

Quote:
Bargnani: "Non so se resterò a Toronto"

Altri italiani in NBA?

Translated to English;

Quote:
Bargnani: "I do not know if I stay in Toronto"
The basketball player of the Raptors is not afraid of criticism: "I am the strongest of the Raptors and I can manage very well "
The NBA playoffs through the warmer phases and the three Italian-Americans are watching. Andrea Bargnani, Belinelli and Gallinari to the contrary, the post-season even got there. That the Toronto Raptors has been a season of insolvency and the Magician was the target of the criticism of society: "My future? You can not say if I stay in Toronto - said speaking on 'Radio Anch'io Sport' on RadioUno -. In the NBA works differently: the company can choose to exchange at any time. I am peaceful, I have a 4 year contract with the Raptors. It is a bit 'of uncertainty, but it's true for every basketball player in the league. clarification with the company ? There was no need: they are the franchise player, the most representative of the roster. If the criticism does not make me, to those who do? It 's my role, I handle them and attacks very well, although perhaps not all are correct. "

Bargnani has no intention of going back: "The NBA is the league more attractive. Another world, from all points of view - -. Roman continues to organize, for the show. A dream that I made, I'm really good there. Compared to the Italian basketball, in the States there is more athleticism and the level of talent is much greater. "

In summer, the National will be involved in European and Bargnani will be a team leader Pianigiani: "We have a good group, we can potentially give us big goals. But we must be humble and take a step at a time. Other Italians in the NBA?" I do not see young Ready to get here. You have to get a leading role, there's a huge list of players who land here and immature then you lose. "

A look at football: "I sympathize for Lazio since they are small. But even for Rome, I like all things Roman, in fact - he concluded Bargnani -. The new U.S. leadership in Rome? "I think it can do well, creating a broader entertainment system, which prompts more people to the stadium and the football. "

the magician certainly was the target of criticism of society, but in fairness to society his many crappy efforts made it deserved.

I love internet translations btw.

I hope we trade him if we can get something good. I certainly wouldn't trade him just to get rid of him because this wouldn't be one of those addition by subtraction things.

I realize that, but imo he said something to that effect and I think this is what he thinks. To say this guy is satisfied with himself and his game would be a gross understatment.

Bargnani could have said he spent the summer helping orphans and donated his entire paycheck to charity and JeffB's response would have been "I hate that bastard".

I'm not so sure about that to be honest.... the only difference between Bargs and Hedo/VC in my eyes right now is that Bargs hasn't said that he wants out (yet).

That's kind of a mistranslation from the sounds of it. More like "I'm the best player on the Raptors' roster", which is a fair comment. It won't be moving forward, but DeMar and Davis are still behind Bargs' overall for the time being IMO, based on their performances last season.

I don't know what the big deal is here.

There's a lot of hate for the sake of hate going on.

But I do admit, he'd benefit from a change of scenery and be placed within a system that hides alot of his weaknesses and plays to his strengths. He's asked to do too much on this team and he's just not good enough to do it.

^Agreed.

Still, the solution for him isn't for us to just dump him for a shitty player (ie. Jeff Green). If we can't trade him for equal value, we should definitely hold on to him. The Raptors themselves should be a change of scenery next year, especially if we get a top 2 pick. We have the offseason to make changes, possibly bring in a true 5, and draft someone like Irving or Williams, to go along with a more mature Ed Davis (Paul Millsap pt. 2?) and DeMar DeRozan next season.
