Default Bargnani and his post game.

Andrea Bargnani is a natural scorer. He has shown in the past that he can be a very good post player if he just worked on it a bit. He has the quicks and length over a lot of C's but it's sad that he never uses it. Do you guys think Andrea should just stick with his high post game? I think he'd flourish in the low post.

I dont know, I think his post game is alright. He's definitely not a big guy like dwight to post his man down and power his way to the hoop. But when Bargs post his man up with a couple of dribbles to get himself settled and then drives to the hoop, that is really effective. So more of that. And like you said he is quicker than most center's out there so he has an advantage to beat his man from his post position. The part i dont like about his game actually is when he posts up and turns around and shoot, an imitation of Dirks move but not that effective imo.

That left handed spinning hook he had against Philly the other day was special. It was a glimpse of greatness in the post. The problem is he only gives us glimpses with things like his defense and his post up game. But he can never put it all together and have a well rounded game. For example, against GS he did everything fairly well except for hit jumpers. Then theres games where he is nothing but a jump shooter. SO yes he should be playing in the low post more often. He is better than most posts in the league at playing with the back to the basket anyways.

all I know is when they put a small on him he usually takes them, its high percentage, he gets free throws and most time his post up is a success

against big I don't know, haven't seen it enough

but one thing for sure is he does get better every year, which shows he does put in work in the off season, he is a better player this year than last year for sure, even his body looks better, more of a centers body so he can guards bigs better

I think he is finally realizing htat he has to get boards even though it took him the whole season to figure that out so thats promising for the future

He needs to play like a center. He doesn't have to be a world beater in the post, but he does have to at least expand on that part of his game.

Anyone notice Andrea's offensive awareness as of late? He's been incredible finding open players, and running to the right spots

how many years did it take Bogut to be seen as a good pick? lol.... Bargnani still has time to improve and next year should look even better and more consistent.

I agree, I hope he always tries to improve.... we all know Bosh won't be improving on D and we probably won't have to worry about it anyways.

he's proven he's quicker than a lot of other guys his size; he's gotten at better ball-handling. i just find it irksome that even he himself knows he doesn't have the hot-hand, he keeps camping in beyond that line or settling for j's. i don't mind if we have a big lead or he's on fire - he can keep playing like that. but when the jumpers just aren't falling or we're struggling for a tie, you have to change your tactics for a different approach. i mean fuck, you don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure that out yourself if you truly want to win an unfavourable circumstance.
