Ryan Wolstat ‏@WolstatSun
Players yelling at Bargnani and Lowry in the meeting seems about right. Been saying for a while coddling of Bargnani grated on teammates

Ryan Wolstat ‏@WolstatSun
I'm sure everybody yelled at everybody in the meeting, but makes sense Bargnani and Lowry got brunt of it

Ryan Wolstat ‏@WolstatSun
Bargnani's looked like he wasn't trying, while Lowry's been selfish at times and matator-like on D uncharacteristicly so

It's good that Lowry and Bargnani get criticized by their teammates..... but I guarantee there are at least 10 others in that meeting that deserved criticism. This team is spiralling out of control and I'm not sure it's salvagable this season. Not talking about wins but instead about team morale.

I find it interesting that the meeting was after the Utah blowout, in a game where Bargnani was maybe the only guy who would have been given a pass in terms of his play.

Just going to assume it was a build up over time looking back at losses like the Kings and Spurs.

Anyways, should be interesting to see how the team responds on their homecourt.

Gotta show some resilience in the face of adversity

Just a quick comparison using per 36 numbers:

Player A: 17.6 PPG 4.8 RPG 1.5 APG 39.8 FG% 31.9 3PT%
Player B: 14.5 PPG 8.2RPG 1.9 APG 41.6FG% 34.6 3PT%

A is of course Bargs this year.
B is Channing Frye last year.

Frye makes 4 mil less per year.

Thought he was the best comparison for 3 shooting big men with severe heart issues.

What a constructive response. My point was to show the real value of this type of player. And one could argue with the way Bargs is playing right now he doesn't even have the value of a healthy Frye. Obviously Frye has his heart condition but I guess my joke was too subtle for you.

Bargnani Isn't this bad as his numbers indicate so far. This is probably his worst season to date. He will eventually pick it up and get around to 19-20 ppg and 5 rebounds.

Now whether that happens on the Raptors is another story.

He is unquestionably having his worst season, I agree. I don't see a way it gets turned around in this environment though.

i think it's only natural that a team meeting because of this unbelievably bad record criticise the (declamed) best players of the team most; i mean if they want or not (bargs), they have the responsibility to lead the team, in old times in sports this was normal, when brazil was shit in soccer, pele was the one to take the blame; and now the Raptors are shit and lowry/bargnani should be seen as the players responsible for that, derozan is still to young and learning to be also count in this group of leaders!

and if you read those tweets and the article you have to see that the teammates are fu****g right, Bargnani looks like don't giving a f**k and for the case of lowry, just hear jack's interview on the point guard play, and those should be our two best players; hilarious

EDIT: but i see also the fact most of you guys are pointed out here, how could this information of a team meeting reach the media and not stay in the family? this doesn't only show that the teammates have a chemistry but a moral problem in this team; yeah everything can get even worse; hilarious

It's highly possible Bargnani and Lowry were targeted the most but I would love to see these sources.

They kept saying "were keeping it in the family"

So unless a player went and told the media on his own, don't see how they know this
Dominic McGuire was the mole,he still has friends on the team and revealed the information in exchange for a headline on RealGM which claims "he has many interest from NBA teams and is trying to get back in the league" lol.

How is Bargnani one of our best players? Statistically he's one of our worst. I wish people would get away from this nonsense already. It's been 7 years. He's just not a good player. For all his supposed talent, he plays like a bench player at best.

With an article like this, it must be terrible for Bargnani fans. They were so wrong to support him all these years. The players hate him! Can Colangelo possibly trade the whole team and keep Primo Pasta happy?

As for Lowry, it's clear he's playing selfishly and taking a lot of bad shots. I think he can definitely fix this if he focuses on creating instead of chucking. It's up to him to see if he's mentally checked out.

That's fine, now that Andrea is injured, they won't have to put up with him and with the soft schedule, maybe we'll win a few games ... or not.

I'm amazed that Lowry took so much heat (allegedly) in that team meeting TBH.

Makes me wonder who was pointing fingers too lol.... because let's be real... there are a whole lot of people in that room who suck pretty badly.

You could see the improvement in the second half in Portland already, we kicked their cases big time.

This a joke?

We got destroyed to begin the third, then again got pounded in the 4th

That was some of the worst basketball I'd seen in a while
