That's just causing more harm than good
More harm? More harm than what? Is it not obvious who should be in for heavy criticism? And doing anything to force a change is likely preventing more harm. If players are coming forward and throwing Bargnani under the bus, then maybe they care enough to hope to come together once he is out of the picture. And they might worry where this team ends up with the status quo.

What? You can't find some way to blame Bosh?

I'm not stuck on Lowry, but I'd sure as hell favor him over Andrea. Give me a player that competes, fights, and shows some heart any day. Not that Lowry has shown a ton of that lately, but yeah, it might be worth investing seven weeks at least.

I respectfully disagree, and I highly doubt players went to the media complaining about a certain indiviual in order to have the organization make some type of change.

You are not invited to join my RF basketball team, we need team players.

lol

At the time it was an ok deal, far from a steal. Now he's overpayed buy about 3mil/yr imo. And doesn't his deal top out at around 12Mil?

Overpayed by 3M/yr?? Seriously??

I'd gladly replace him with D-league talent based on what he's shown this season.

All the potential in the world doesn't mean a damn if you just don't give a shit and have no heart.

Sure, but if he was making 7Mil/yr do you think we'd still have no takers right now?

Would $3M really make THAT much of a difference at the end of the day?

I dunno....

looking around at the contracts in the league, I hereby raise my hand, and say Bargnani is paid what he is worth. only reason we think he isn't is cause you expect him, our best player (arguably still) to play like a max player, someone who we can really compare to as we recently had one, playing the same position..

remember the wolf in the cage? at least Bargs is happy to be in toronto, with his primo and all..

Reading this, more than anything else was the nail in the coffin for me on declaring this season toast. No comeback, shy of winning the championship, would bring me back any hope or positive feelings about the future of this team.
Seriously, how the fuck can the "hub", and our "main guy" be the most disaffected pile of shit? That the coach declares, for better or worse, that we ride someone who his teammates feel isn't up to the job of playing NBA basketball but doesn't mind getting paid on the prospects that he might, but nobody knows his little secret...
The implications of this story should be the rudest of awakenings that the coach, the GM and the franchise has built itself around Tyrus fucking Thomas with a jump shot.

Season over. Maybe they all believe in the myth of quetzalcoatl which would be about the only thing to make this epic fail remotely logical....

3 Million really does make a huge difference.

We'd probably have a few more takers, and better offers too.

7-footers are definitely worth in excess of $10M/yr.

Unfortunately Bargs doesn't play like a 7fter. He plays like a 6'1" SG..... and those are a dime a dozen.

WOAH

I just had the most mindblowing thought. What if we had spun the MJ fiasco as Bargnani who almost got traded for Chandler, not Calderon. We wouldn't have offended a loyal player who does try and instead could have lit a fire under the ass of a player who's a sad sack of unmotivated shit.
