it is more than fair to blame Bargs for this teams defensive. the 4 guys on the floor can all do there part and if that one guy doesn't then it results in a bad defensive possession. for example:we can play good defense for 22 secs and make the other team force a bad shot and miss, Bargs doesn't box his guy out, they get offensive rebound and score. good defense ruined by the last 2 secs and still gives up the 2 points.
what also does, is that it will have a ripple effect on the rest of the team. his teams will not try on defense themselves cuz they'll be thinking, why should i bust my tail if someone behind me isn't trying and my hard work is still gonna result in points given up.

So the plan is trade Bargs, get a defensive C and then pray to god to score at least 80?
I love it when a plan comes together.

Anyway, i wouldn't mind a 22\6 PF, but I'm sure that is easy to find another one.

I sometimes wonder why dont we just have Bargnani come off the bench, and have someone else start for him

Because he's still the best player on our flawed team that we currently have.

Trading/demoting Bargnani isn't going to suddenly make this team a winner, not with its current roster makeup.

haven't you herd?

bargnani literary gives up like a million points a game and grab no boards...

with amir & davis starting we are amazing defensively...like we saw on tonights game, they held dirk to only 31, if Bargs was playing dirk would've went for atleast 60.....and they bring down boards like dwight, 12 combined, twice as much as bargs....both of them combined are like 2 Bargs put together....

and oh ya, without Bargs in the lineup, our team defense gets much better...we held dallas to only 114...now if we can only get rid of jose, we could hold teams to 112 a game...

Same old story. You know what? a black Bargs born in NYC would be considered a perrenial all star. Just my opinion...

Barg should go no where this year. He is still our best player. Lets see what BC can do with the draft and free agency ...
I hope Bargs starts to mature and show passion and aggression every game ... I know this is a lot to ask for a guy that doesn't have this in him naturally. Again, I have no problem living with Bargs offense and defense ... just bring the effort.

Funny, when Bosh was our best player, all I ever read was how we needed to trade him (even before the contract was up).

Now, when Bargs is our best player, there's a group saying, he's our best player, let's not trade him.

Odd. Very little consistency.

It's because people could sense Bosh had minimal integrity.... AB likely won't string the franchise along 'like a bosh'

I don't even know what to say to this.

I hope it's a joke.

It's a joke based in reality....

You're not talking apples and oranges. Bargnani is wrapped up long term, with almost zero risk of him demanding a move.....

Bosh was nearing free agency and was refusing to give any direct indication of his intentions for the two years leading up to his freedom. The team at the time, was a floundering playoff hopeful for much of the period, and all indications were that Bosh was growing increasingly fond of attention....

I think the inconsistency you question is legitimately inconsistent....

On a side note, it's funny that Carter left because he disagreed with management and while he may have went about his exit all wrong (something that he now regrets), Bosh is heralded by many for leaving for more exposure.

i think its time for people to stop booing carter. he didn't like the management and the direction the team was going at the time. i mean, if u hated ur boss would u bring ur best effort at work? you would hate ur job and going to work everyday. i also couldn't really blame him cuz the GM was rob babcock. i was going crazy just being a raps fan, let alone a raps player. the only thing is that he went about it completely wrong and said things he shouldn't have said. but i also wonder how many athletes felt what Carter felt, past or present, but Carter was just stupid enough to say it out loud.
but anyways, its time for us to move on
