I totally agree with a 20 game timeline... but Casey can be this good... why can't he? This team has been awful defensively for years, and brutal when Bosh was here too! It's a change that could easily have been made with more authoritative coaching... it just hasn't happened.

I have no doubt you'll be giddy again soon!

The buy low, sell high thing has already been mentioned a few times in this thread, and I agree whole-heartedly.

While I have LOVED the start that Jose and Bargs have had, you have to ask yourself, will they be able to sustain it. Bargnani's offensive numbers have been ridiculous, but if your goal is to build a championship team, can you do that with a PF who is averaging 6 rebounds per game. Jose too, has been playing like a borderline all-star, but this is only 6 games in to the season.

While I'm not saying these two players aren't part of the future, if you're looking to build a championship team (in a few years from now), you have to at least entertain the idea of trading anybody who will help in the long-term growth of this team.

That's why this particular trade is crap, although I'd be open to dealing anybody on our roster.
I don't disagree. Hell, I'm always the one who is fan-girling Calderon when everyone else wants his ass gone. So, my opinion is long-term and always has been. I just find it interesting that this particular scenario comes along now, when all the fans that previously would trade anything for Bargs & Jose are now appreciating their improvements.

They're Raptors. I couldn't see 'em on any other team.

Although i don't believe there is any truth to this trade, I just don't see the long term value of it. We need more games to see where we're at, as other have said before me.

As a side note, why would we trade 2 guys who actually love playing in Toronto? If there's that much value in Calderon and Bargs, I think there's a better deal out there, Fish is just too old.

Why are we continuing to talk about this as a real possible trade. It is not even a rumour. It is 100% fabrication and false and all of the fake spoofed comments attributed to Hollinger have been removed.

I used to want Calderon gone, but after he stepped up like a man after almost being traded. I hope he becomes a Raptor for life.
Lets see how i feel later on in the season.
If the lakers think they are getting those two guys they have another thing coming.
The lakers are desperate and it shows.

none of it matters, Kobe wouldn't pass anyhow. Bargnani is useless on LA. All Kobe wants is a guy to bring it up and safely give it to him.

Kobe should be lobbying for Calderon

hes been passing with pau for a couple years now no? all i'm saying is, caldy brings ballm up, dishes to kobe. kobe does something with the ball and either scored or get's double teamed, in which case dish off to Bargnani for the jumper or fake and drive. that offence is virtually perfect.
