Well, Sam seems to think Andrea's become more accepting of the coaching now, so we can only hope that he's right when he says we should see improvements sooner rather than later.

As do I and probably the rest of the Raptor fans. I'm just praying that he's slow to develop because I don't want to see that #1 pick go to waste. Right now I'm so jelaous of the Blazers because of guys like Roy and Aldridge.

If it's any consolation right now he's better than Ty Thomas and Pornstache.

Tyrus Thomas was a risk coming out of college. One amazing March Madness tourney totally overrated his game. Tons or raw talent, but a piss poor attitude. 'Stache, I still think he'll be a good player. Not an all-star, but I think he'll be a solid SG/SF if he can stay healthy which is his biggest enemy right now.

The good thing is we can wait for Andrea...we can win games without him. Ford we're missing but Andrea we can wait a bit on.

Andrea needs to work. Period. Stop being soft and start working hard - especially on defense, and the rest will sort itself out. He needs to start watching tape, studying everything and then translating it with hard work out on the court.

Man is exactly the contrare, we miss Tj, his better defense, his way of drawing fouls, twu quality PGs, but what we REALLY, REALLY, REALLY miss is a rebounding big guy who gets easy points in the paint. We dont miss what Bargs was last year, what we miss is what Bargs should be. Hes is what will or not take us to the next level.

Poor poor TJ....guys snap out of it. Take it easy guys ,"moremilk" please warm it up and offer some to your friend,Sick, Wicked and Nasty. Now that you guys have drank your milk like good little boys lets get back to business.Like it or not Jose is the guy for the future for the Raptors not TJ. Bosh and Jose have been your best 2 players all year. So don't get me started on this Jose vs TJ thing. Let me walk you through this slowly....last years team had garbo, and a rookie named bargnani, both played a big role with our team finishing first, the pg situation was solid with Jose and TJ working together. Remember how Garbo was looked at as the glue on last years team, well it looks like many have forgotten very quickly how important he was for this club.Same goes with Bargs, fans are starting to forget how important he was for our team last year. Remember how us fans were devastated when Bargs had surgury, remember how devastated we were when Garbo when down. Now many of you just want to throw them out the window.Would we be in the same position if we had Bargs and garbo of last years team ? I know that Jose was outstanding last year and has come back stronger this year. Our point guard is not the issue, believe it or not we have one of the best now in Jose and he will just get better. We don't really miss TJ as a starter we miss TJ coming off the bench to give Jose a break. But really if we had a healthy Garbo and a confident Bargs the name of Ford would have been TJ who . I will conclude with a life story of mine, back in my younger days when I was being scouted for the national team. I was playing for the ontario team when a national team scout talked to me about my game, he told me that he saw alot of potential in my game. I talked to my ontario coach after talking to the national scout. My ontario coach told me that scouts look for potential, he said that if a coach sees you do something well during a game, but you are not consistant it does not matter . Meaning if they see you do it once they believe with good coaching it would make you a better player. Its like a baseball scout watching a hitter hit a bomb out of the park, the hitter just showed the scout that he has power to drive the ball 450 feet. The scout now records that info, now its up to a good coach to get that batter to hit more bombs consistantly through good instruction. So where am I going with this.... coach mitchell has seen what Bargs is capable, so why in the hell does he not let him play, there was no excuse why Bargs was not on the floor in the second half eating up minutes, hell we were down around 20 points at one time. For us to get better Bargs must play. When a player is always looking over to the bench you know he is pressing. Mitch better smarten up, I think this new contract of his has gotten to head.A better Bargs means a better team, we are missing garbo but hes hurt so we move on, same thing with TJ. So keep drinking your milk and stop blaming everything because we don't have TJ.

Hey you're entitled to your opinion but I dont' agree with it. I'm not blaming our current situation on not having TJ... i'm saying we are a better team and will only go far with TJ as our starting guard. Right now we're down our 2nd best player... a player with loads and loads of potential and we're fortunate to have another really good point guard to fill in..without him we would be the Bucks or the Bobcats right now...not 2 games over 500. Until Ford comes back I believe we'll stay around 500 because we just can't consistantly score points..that's not an opinion that's reality. Our defence for the most part has been very good... low points per game, low turnovers, good amount of steals..definitely improved over last year. I agree we're missing Garbo big time but we also have some pieces we didn't have last year...Delfino and Moon in particular give us somethings we just didn't have last year. Jose is not the point guard of our future unless Ford doesn't rebound from his injury or gets hurt again... TJ is the guy with all the potential you're referring to. Jose will be in tandem with him but TJ is and will be the man in Toronto.

Well as much as I respect your opinion TJ is not the answer. Neither is Jose, your right we have picked up a few good pieces to our team this year , however a confident Bargs would just make us that much better. But remember the more TJ scores the more we lose, remember all of last year how Jose jump started the second unit, setting the table and putting us in a position to win. Remember how us fans started to question that Jose should be the guy to close out the game. Remember remember remember.

remember how Tj talked about makiing the all star team this year, remember how jose talked about the team winning games as his goal remember remember... never any talk about TJ going to the all star game...all the talk is about jose......differance here jose does not care if he gets picked...tj probably will get pissed if he did because thats what he wants

TJ was taking about personal goals, in addition to the obvious team goals.

JYD and Mo Pete both in the past stated their goals were to be all-stars and no one seemed to have a problem with it then.

When Tj tends to score a lot of points it's because the other team makes him a scorer. Why would they make him a scorer? Because he's an effective playmaker that can do damage when he penetrates and dishes. Phoenix does this to him each time... they dont' worry that Nash can't defend him...they let him get 30 points because they know if they keep his assists down they have a chance to win. Tha'ts how i see that scenario.

Tj's not perfect...he's young and growing but he has the potential certainly to be an allstar and he is one of the pieces BC has built this team around. You dont' abandon the plan just cause he got hurt... or if you do you have to trade him. You can' bring him back as Jose's backup. If the team were 10 games over 500 now and tearing through elite teams like a butter knife through wet toilet paper then you have an issue..you seek to trade TJ...but we're not doing that well otherwise reasonably healthy... we're staying afloat. The job is Tj's when he gets to 100%

Thank you... good post. Personally i dont' evaluate a player as much by what he says to the media(read not at all) over what he does on the court. We know he's a character guy because BC signed him... it's what he does on the court that matters and before he was hurt he was our best player this year hands down.

I tend to agree with raptor123 often. I think S.W.A.N. is being delusional at this point. If we had a decent back up to Jose....we'd have a better record. TJ Ford is a turnover prone, selfish point guard that will never make our team better as a starter. (unless he has a guy like Jose saving the team every game!!)

I think its ironic that TJ spoke about making the all-star team....and Jose is the only one thats really getting consideration as an allistar. TJ Ford had the opportunity to start many many games.....his name was never mentioned as an all-star....until he made the statement himself....(and if your thinking as i am.....i pretty much laughed at the notion.)

I always thought that Jose was a better pg, and better fit for this team. I'm glad most agree with me.... I guess thats the difference between good basketball instincts....and poor decision making.....reminds me of an Isiah Thomas mentality.

BTW.....Isiah....please start David Lee and Nate.....they're the only ones playing for ya!! Dummy
