Default Bargnani.

I have a question.
I have see many people bring up Andrea in trade talks on the board.

How many people think that BC will actually entertain the idea of trading him? (I understand that he would trade anyone if the deal was right, but I can't imagine Bargs' value being that high on the market right now)
Would that not basically mean his 1st rounder was a theoretical bust as he is no longer part of the bigger plan?

I don't think Bargs is for sale unless a really stellar deal comes BC's way.
What do you guys think?

I would venture a guess, Bargs is as close as untouchable that we have on this team

I agree. I doubt BC would trade him at this point. Which has its pros and cons i guess.

none of them..i think he is a good player..
he has range, he is quick enough, he should play PF with a true center..
bosh and him is not a good combo..

Addition by subtraction. Cutting Barg's salary just for whatever we can get and a draft pick will help us. This team would then make the playoffs and we could get a legit center and Bosh would stay. .

so in short, Colangelo can move (or dump) Bargnani if he's looking at the bigger picture (keeping Bosh at all costs).

Bargs has value. He has some skills. He's just not the right fit for this team.

I still think that BC should be talking to both HOU and GS. Bargs would probably look good on either of those squads... and they have pieces that wuold likely interest us.

Out of all the poll options I don't agree to any. I have to say NO, incase Bosh leaves. Cuz if Bosh leaves and we trade Bargs, we'll have to start from scratch again. But say if Bosh leaves and we have Bargs, we can add a good Center to complement him

He's starting assert himself closer to the basket..and if given the ball in the right place (high post/elbow) he's virtually unstoppable with his high release and quick first step -Raps still don't utilize this option enough. I'd definately keep him around and see what he can do sans Bosh..I'd also consider trading him and other parts for A. Randolph and Turiaf tehehe..

I have to agree with E. Smith and Jack today on the Fan 590. Bargnani is going nowhere until Bosh makes his decision. BC isn't gonna trade Bargs and then have Chris leave/ S&T? a few months later and have neither going into next season.

Secondly they said Turkoglu is likely going nowhere either, since he was brought in just a few months ago as the big aquisition and your not gonna bring in two big tickets two seasons in a row ( JO & Turk) and trade them both a few months into the respective seasons. There has to be some measure of stability.

I seriously would be in for a Bargnani for Biedrins straight up deal at this point. And then if Bosh wants out in the summer S&T him for a SG and a PF.

I agree with that, and Hedo and Bargs carrying this team w\o Bosh terrifies me. Its a ceiling of mediocrity for 5+ years.

Keep Barg for the season mayb he will play w/ some energy or attitude. He is like a sack of potatoes that only scores in the 1st quarter and makes sure his hair is alwayz jelled right. He needs to slap ppl around, yell, headbutt them, taunt them, eat someones fries, flex his muscles.... sumthin anythin

How about we just work at putting an actual team on the floor every night and see how Bargs fits with that? I think he can easily work without having to be a star, let alone an all-star. He can be a key part of a team. Unfortunately our coach, and maybe even the GM, have a poor idea of how to actually make a team work.

Give Bosh, Jack, Derozan, Amir, and Weems a decent coach, and you got the 5th or 6th best team in the East.

We still might be that 5th or 6th best team as we are. A lot of games left.

That would be something like putting an actual team on the floor. But I think Bargnani can still be included in that team. I think Triano does a lot of shit that does nothing to bring out the best in anybody, and even those guys you listed are starting to wilt.

He stares at Bargs for a reason. It's called not being able to defend your own man because you're helping another weak defender, which may not even be Bargs, but Bargs would need to rotate properly all the same.

And why do you suggest a "euro" can't defend?
