Barcelona is the one Toronto should be negotiating with regarding Ukic

So the article says at the end of this season his heading back to barcelona, who owns his contract. Hes currently on loan from barcelona. It dont think is going to be that easy for him to come. Barcelona is not playing so well like recent years, and after letting Navarro go for half the price so an NBA team could get him, I dont know if they are going to let Ukic leave so(if his playing as good as they say he is) easly. And he is going to negotiate with Laporta, he is probably the best president in the history of FC Barcelona (he is the one that helped build the best soccer team of the world in years).

Anyway, He could be pretty good for them, so I dont know if theyll let him go.

fair enough, Belsius... this may make it a bit tougher.

But at the same time, if Ukic really wants to come to the NBA and Laparta will see this, it won't be a good thing to "keep" him there against his will.

Although who knows how "convincing" Laporta will be in his talks with Ukic to keep him in Barce. ?

Yeah, the thing is maybe is not against his will. If he doesnt get any minutes, wich will be the most posible thing if TJ is back, he will probably prefer to have a more impotant role in Barcelona and wait to come to the NBA.

Only way I think he'll come if is he's guaranteed playing time by the Raptors and not rotting on the bench. If he gets a sense that he won't be utilized, then you can bet he'll remain overseas. JMO

There's just no way to guarantee playing time to a second round pick with big question marks as to his suitability for the NBA game. He's going to have to make the choice to give it a go or not with no guarantees. He can always go back to Europe if it doesn't work out. But staying in Europe now will not make him any more valuable to the NBA, unless something drastic happens to his game.
