multiple top 10 picks are nice though.

(Raps could just buyout or waive charlieV or do what Indy did to Tinsley.)

Right, raps should save cap room instead for the loads of quality free agents who want to come to Toronto and who Toronto definitely won't have to overpay for.

It's ok, what will probably happen is BC not dealing Barbosa at the deadline and then him leaving in free agency with the raps getting nothing for him.

You have a free agent saying he wants to be in Toronto

there is nothing out there available for Barbosa that is more useful to us than himself. Long or short term. And no, clearing capspace is not useful
i do kind of agree with you that the rebuild might over sooner than we think

im a big fan of barbosa and would love to keep him

especially next year with cap space, high draft pick, and center developing europe,

casey is really turning the defense around, if we had andrea this year you wonder where we would fit in the eastern conference with a team that is built to lose, its impressive

He's gping to get more than a vet's min..... though I'm sure it would be a modest paycut.... likely in the 4-5M per year salary range.

lol, obviously i was exaggerating and hoping that is the cost, but at around 5M per year for probably another 3 years max i would keep him, he's still a very good option for a sixth man type player

Not sure why so much hate on barbosa.. I always liked him. He's a constant threat on the offense and one of the fastest players in the league.
Exceptional player.

I think the only reason why we dont like Barbosa this year is that most of us want the Raptors to tank and get a good pick

Yeah, I don't understand the hate for Barbosa either, we're going to need him more so than our turnover machine, Bayless.

Barbosa is a great backup guard for a playoff squad. Everytime Barbosa tries to go to the rim, either a)layup b) turnover

-Barbosa for CharlieV and detroit's 1st rounder. Raps essentially take on a lot of salary as Charlie V makes similar salary next season and then has a PO for 2013-2014.

. -Barbosa,Forbes for B.Gordon and detroit's 2012 first round pick (un protected), and possibly their 2014 first rounder. Raps would be taking on a lot of salary, possibly over 22 million in this deal, depending on if BG uses his PO for 2014.

-Barbosa for Carroll and DJ Augustin (they already have Kemba as their future PG, Carroll has an early termination option for 2012-2013 that he will not use (he will make $3.5 million in 2012-2013 if he doesn't use the ETO). Raps would make him an RFA I believe and match an offer for him in the summer.

-Barbosa for J.Dudley + their pick. Now there are positives and negatives to both sides of this deal. Bottom line is that Sarver is very cheap and looks to save $$$, Dudley will essentially make 17 million over 4 seasons after this season, however he is a solid player and can contribute to a team. I avoided Childress + Frye as Childress is making a lot of $$$ but is barely used (if at all) and Frye is Bargs' light.
seriously.

ok, continue to have useless capspace for the loads of quality free agents who want to come to Toronto and who the raps won't have to overpay for.
