if we really want to be that greedy and that's our plan then why not trade him for a 1st round pick and take him next season

So we've got 2 guys heading out and nobody coming back. There's definitely roster spots that could be filled in some other deal today. Although it's confusing just what's going on with AC. Is he on the team or not?

5 pages of mostly this... next time someone doesn't think they are overvaluing a raptor in their fantasy trade projections (like most people here always do), they should come back and read this thread and how retarded it is.

I believe he is still on the roster. He was rumoured to be possibly included in the Indiana deal, but I think they didn't want him. So BC will probably waive him soon and replace him with a D-league PG or SG prospect to round out the roster.

Unless there's another move in the pipeline, of course. Apparently there are 5 trades in the NBA office that have yet to be reported. Don't know how true that is.

Ah, and now Carter's been waived. Almost makes me seem like I know what I'm talking about. And the charade continues!

“Leandro has unique and special ability as a basketball player, but he’s an even better person away from the game. I’m happy for him to get the opportunity to join a playoff team as he heads into free agency.”

As much as it hurts to let him go, it helps our chances at a better pick and that's what this season is about. This will be the last year we have to get a decent lottery pick, because from this year out, the way I see it, we're going to be getting mediocre or better. It's not like we're trying to win games here, clearly we're already besting everyone's projections for our win column this year. I'm getting less mad by the hour to the point where I'm almost happy.

Acie's post is bang on. That article explains why this trade was made, for the people who thought BC was just another idiot.

if we were to tank hard, it should have been last year for kyrie or before the 2010 draft (unless we're trying to get anthony davis)

Im sure Raptors couldve done the same with Barbosa...+ he's not a bonehead and plays 100% every night and doesnt complain. Just saying. I really didnt see a point in trading barbosa if we were to just get a 2nd round pick
sure, if we were willing to take on 4 years at 9/year or whatever RJ has left on his deal ...

So we go forward the rest of the season with:

Jose/Bayless
DD/Forbes

???

I see a couple 10 days in our near future.

why would you just let a guy expire, in a go nowhere season when you can get a little something for him. Picks are used in trades, teams are reportedly guarding their picks very closely this year..

Honestly, it aint the trade thats whack, its you guys and you stupidfaceness

and it adds no assets(|pick 50 is what a solomon alabi?)

dude, you think BC didn't call the Lakers and asked? If there was a better deal on the table, we'd have taken it. If this is as much as the market will pay, then it's better than to keep LB for two months. Heck, even without the 2nd rounder would have been a good deal for us.

It's like some stranger giving you a toonie and you complaining that it could have been $10

but to add, maybe charlotte will improve enough by possibly tradeing their starting pg to win 7 of the next 20(only won 6 all season) and we go 0-20 the rest of the way to overtake them for the worst record in the nba!!!

I think there's a very good chance we'll see a few of these now, there's lots of diamonds in the rough in D-League and we could definitely pick up a rotation player there if we're lucky.

but if i had to guess based on bc in the past he likes to be the first in line, and the first offer he got for barbosa today he took.
