Yes finally got rid of Barbosa. Hated him for a while now. Let's go tank nation

Wonder if this effects our attempts to get Nash in the off season

there's a supposed trade where portland deal crawford and get a late 1st rounder from lakers or dallas and he's a much better player than barbosa

not enough teams after an old and inefficient sg out there ... at least it helps us tank more effectively. Think of this trade as barbosa for a 2nd rounder and the right to swap the 5th for the 4th pick in the draft

Also, how is Indi gonna make playing time for both Barbosa and George Hill?
carter and barbosa are insurance, doubt they'll play much after the first few games. Unless they start hill at PG and have barbosa back up george and collison back up hill.

seriously, I can understand not wanting to tank from the first game of the season, but this late, when we clearly have no shot at anything, what's the point in playing old guys like barbosa and trying hard to win games by any means possible?

Isn't it a lot better to just give those minutes to the young guys and let them play through their mistakes. If we happen to win that way, great, that means we don't need the high pick as badly. If we lose, at least the players get some experience and we draft higher. Win-win scenario.

Point taken, obviously there are some diamonds in the rough, but some of these players you speak of have been in the league for at least 5 years. As the day progresses I like the deal more, I guess I just had a man crush on Barby.

Barbosa for 2nd rounder makes sense to me.

Whats the point of a low first rounder other than having to guarantee a roster spot and salary. A second rounder gives more flexibility. If someone you like is on the board you can use it, if not, take a European prospect to stash in europe for a few years or use it in another trade.

What the fuck? We could of gotten more than a 2nd round scrub, this is a huge disappoint.

Also good luck to Barbosa, pretty sure everyone in Indiana hates him after he went for the payback bucket.

I've enjoyed this team this season considering our position. Casey getting them to play D and it has us in a lot of close games.

Yeah, we could've gotten the Lakers 1st rounder and Luke Walton's POS contract.

if the raps gave up anything more than a 2nd to rent a guy like barbosa, i'd be very unimpressed by colangelo.

or maybe barbosa asked to be traded.
