P.S-Grange is a dumbass, he needs a powertool to the head and I'm just the idiot to use it.
Landry Fields picked 38, Marcus Thornton at 43, DeAndre Jordan at 35, Dejuan Blair at 37, Isaiah Thomas at 60....and Soloman Alabi at 50

I think it was 56th. As I recall, he was the last high school player picked before the age restriction came into effect.

Rashard Lewis
Carlos Boozer

Obviously it's a diamond in the rough scenario, but clearly there's talent available in the second round.

we also have 2 2nd rounders now, which could be used to move up

Wow can't believe Raptors actually got something in return for Barbosa. GG Colangelo.

From a basketball standpoint - I hate this. From a business standpoint it is a good move. Lots of depth in this year's draft so may actually be a good move in the end - but still.

It's not so much about the pick (even though we at least got some sort of asset rather than Barbosa just walking as an UFA at the end of the season)...this is about making us worse this season - thus improving our own draft position, giving the young guys more minutes to develop and giving us cap flexibility on draft night...all things that will actually make the Raps better next year and for years to come.

Sure, if we want to go over. The minimum salary means nothing. If you are under the minimum salary, you just have to write a cheque for the difference to the NBPA to be distributed as they see fit. This does not generate a problem.

i really don't get why people are upset we got a 2nd round pick. I'm pretty sure no one was offering a 1st round pick unless we took on salary. the main question i guess is, would you rather win couple more games with barbosa this year and lose him in the summer, or lose couple games and still lose him in the summer
