Unhappy Atrocious days being a "Toronto-nian"

I was driving back from the jays game last night with a couple of friends, and listening to the radio. Hearing that Raps got raped, leafs obviously losing and going to the jays game and watching them lose...
it made me think, WOW! It sucks to be a toronto-nian (is that what we call our selves?) thats a fan of sports. I mean the MLS isnt that big yet but hopefully will be in the future, but 3 major sports we haven't made any noise in a while. It sickens me to my fucking stomach always gandering a toronto team and just gazing failure.

Ok raps had their run in 07 but i'd rather be a 5,6,7 seed and win a playoff game. Jays won back to back way back in early 90s but I couldn't even take a shit by myself at that time so jays were my least worries. The LEAFS! where to start with the leafs lol. Haven't won a cup since 67, been to a couple of conference finals vs the canes in 02 and sabres in 99 (thank god at least some semi-finals to get our hopes up) and once more in the 90s not sure who they were facing.

So yes I am freaking ticked, and if I don't see any progress in any sport in the next few years I'm sorry so say boys but I think the curse is going to be on.

look at Philly
they have had very little sporting success
the Phillies have the most loses in sports franchise history

Eagles-0 Super Bowl titles
Flyers-2 cups
Phillies-2 world series titles
Sixers-3 titles, I think 1 was in the NBA

philly had to wait 25 years for a championship, until the Phillies won

also remember
Seattle
Buffalo
Atlanta
Cleveland pre-Lebron

I dont know where you have been but the MLS is huge. Thye own two very successful (money wise) teams including the leafs which is the highest grosing team in North Amercia (beucase stupid toronto fans keep watching their games and buying their merchandise). So ya MLS is pretty big.

You're participating on a forum for a team who's lottery-bound. What makes you think you're so different?

K dude you don't know where I've been? Where have you been? MLS = MAJOR SOCCER LEAGUE, MLSE= MAPLE LEAF SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT. If you have raptors/leafs game you will see MLSE. I was talking about how the league MLS isn't has popular as NBA, NHL and MLB.

So it's either you don't know how to read, or you don't know your acronyms. I don't know if you've heard, but toronto has a soccer team TORONTO FC. lol MLSE owns that as well, if you wanna learn more wikipedia that.

i don't see how the mls isn't that big in toronto, theres not a ticket to be found, with over 14,000 people on the waiting list for seasons tickets (leafs have 7000 on the waiting list over a 100 year period and fc has 14000 in three years), yeah tickets are cheaper but there certainly is a demand and there is certainly unlimited potential in this market

I hear TFC might be good. Plus, you went to the only loss of the season for the jays. 1 for 3 ain't bad

The MLB, NBA, and NHL are all BUSINESSES. They're here to make money, and toronto will always make them money even if the teams suck. If you go to american cities, theres noone in the stands for a losing team. If you were an MLB, NHL, or NBA exec, you'd want toronto to be bad so you can exploit new money coming from smaller cities and new markets. It's about growth and bank, Toronto teams can sell out every game and not get any better, how does this make sense?
