Atlantic Division Run

After the ressurgence of the toronto raptors, we can see the wake up of the Brooklyn nets, also the Knicks come back...

I think the run for the division title will be way more difficult than some expected last week.

so i open the discussion until the end of the regular season !

what do you think ?

ZanTheMan 01-11-2014 07:49 AM

I think we'll be fine.

jeffb 01-11-2014 08:57 AM

Winning the division will not be easy. We have to really go on a run with this softer schedule.

the nets, without deron, have beatean miami, gsw and okc on the road in their last 5. They're only 3.5 games behind us and looks like KG/Pierce are waking up. That's consistent with what happened in boston the last couple of seasons, where they always went on these long winning streaks in the second half.

I think the Nets will easily win the division over us, if they don't lose KG to injury. But we should be able to hold off the Knicks, we have a bigger advantage and they're not as good as the Nets.

If the Nets get it together and stay healthy, they will be very dangerous in the playoffs. That's a crafty team.

We will win the division by about 3-4 games over Brooklyn. I still think the Knicks will miss the playoffs.

At season's end the standings in the east will be:

Pacers - 1
Miami - 2
Toronto - 3
Brooklyn - 4
Atlanta - 5
Wizards - 6
Pistons - 7
Either Cleveland or Charlotte at 8, but I give the edge to Cleveland after acquiring Deng.

I could see both Brooklyn/NYK making the playoffs and if Brooklyn can stay healthy once Willams gets back I could see them winning the Division.

i really we will have a hard time to beat BK for the division title.
if we continue to play like that we could compete for sure, but they have put another gear, and they have a better roster to roll.

about whom will be get to the playoffs :
1. miami
2. indiana
the to for sure.
3-4-5 : tor - ATL - BK

Now, i really think NYK will come around. (not much a chance to be in the second round, but wy not.
Cleveland will come around too.
after that, it's relatively open.

Demar is easily on of the most durable guys in the league. But I'm still waiting for Lowry to roll and ankle. We're the only ones who haven't had key injuries. If that continues, fine. Otherwise....

Nothing is certain, but we have a solid head start.
I doubt knicks get it together, their roster is a mess and injuries didn't help. But Brooklyn could win a lot in a hurry.

So our games against them are worth a lot

Gotta feed tankers' hope. They're still drooling over the prospect of 12th seed. We should all remember that it only takes one broken face to fall out of the playoffs.

rb 01-11-2014 05:52 PM

i'm glad the other atlantic teams are getting there shit together, i welcome the competition.

ERaz 01-11-2014 06:48 PM

I still don't think the Nets will do much. They are washed up. This is just a hot streak for them.

Dario 01-11-2014 07:27 PM

i see us at 3..

Bankiz 01-19-2014 08:50 AM

so with only 4 games before the mid season line, the division stand like this :

Toronto (3) 20 18
Brooklyn (8) 16 22
New York 15 25
Boston 14 27
Philadelphia 13 27

ihope we can maintain the momentum enough.

Carlito 01-19-2014 09:16 AM

I love the way we are playing ....

I hate saying this but I think Brooklyn will probably win the division ... if they get healthy

Diamond Scorpion 01-19-2014 01:02 PM

If Brooklyn had Lopez they would probably win the Atlantic, but without him I can't see them stealing it from the Raps. Now if we get a load of injuries like they did, then we will drop off.

LET'S GO RAPTORS!!!!! 01-19-2014 01:06 PM

We've been extremely lucky with no key injuries thus far.

JoeyJoJo Shabbadu 01-19-2014 01:32 PM

We're 10th in oppnt fg%. Knicks can't eat their lunch without a bib and will only implode again and again and I have no idea how Brooklyn even won half the games they did so once someone gets rid of the smoke or mirrors, they should fall back to earth.
