Default Atlantic Division

December 16, we trailed the Celtics by 11 games. Today we trail them by 4.5 games. We have a very winnable schedule coming up.

How fucking sweet would it be to take over these punks for the division lead.....

It would be sweet, Boston is by far my least favourite team in the NBA. But give credit where credit is due, they are a fundementally strong team in every aspect. Even the games they lost they were clearly the better side, they just have had some terrible luck recently.

yeah but a lot had to do with them playing bad..

and perhaps their schedule, last three were Magic, Hawks and Lakers

I think it'll be very tough, they have the tiebreaker too and I expect them to pick it up

Ya it seems like the top 4 in the east are all beating up on each other. THe C's are looking old and the Cavs are looking like the cream of the crop.

I'd wait for a shake out and you'll see some of those teams turn it up. All of those teams are way to good too play badly much longer.

Meh, maybe the're just getting older and crappier now. KG's knee is a concern, and if you can stay out on their perimeter guys, what's so scary about them? Contain Perkins and Rondo, and the Celtics are nothing.

Contain Rondo is easier said than done. Contain their perimeter guys too. Allen and Pierce will find ways to score. Plus they hold their opponents to a relatively low score, which puts them almost always in contention in every game.

They're in a slump yes and old and KG is not 100% (and Sheed sucks), but let's not forget they beat the Raptors three or four times this year, only a few teams can say that. They still won 2 out of every three games this year with enough problems along the way.

If you wanna put your money were your mouth is I'm sure you'll get a taker and maybe some will give you nice odds.

Personally, I can't see the Raptors catching up. They make stay from the 3.5 to 4.5 route IMHO. Who knows maybe the fantasy will come to you and the Raps do take the atlantic although the Raptors have been GOOD and LUCKY. No significant injuries to Bargs and Bosh makes the Raptors stay on course.

UH. They have 3 all-stars pushing a 4th. They have 3 of the best defenders at their position in Perkins/Garnett/Rondo. They have maybe the best 3 pt shooter of all time. They have a guy they can go to in the clutch (Pierce). They have a mean veteran and a 3 pt bomber off the bench. They are 2 years removed from a championship... and a Garnett injury last year from probably a repeat championship.

Let's not get ahead ourselves and say the Celtics are nothing .

If we don't gain any ground by the end of February we can forget it. Let's just see what we do this month if we can remain relatively healthy. Alot of this depends on the Celtics health, namely KG & Pierce. We have a chance at the Atlantic divison title and that alone thrills me. Our ticket out of the 1st round really relies in getting into the top 4, at least it's our best shot.

All I'm saying is I think we have an easy schedule, and the Celtics are beatable in my opinion.

You guys can tell me all this stuff about what players they have, but I still think they're VERY beatable.

who knows, I just hope we keep our focus because Charlotte is right behind with no let up same with chicago,

every game matters, hopefully the bulls, bobcats, heat, and bucks can put some W's against hte current big 4

the teams behind us could help us and we can help them by beating these teams

watching the C's, Rondo is only good because players cant leave Ray Allen, Pierce, Rasheed, Garnett and House open,

plus Perkins is so angry out there that he scares his opponents and refs into calls, plus the fact that he gets most of his points off rondo who drives the lane because he gets no doubles, and then does that pass under the basket to perkins for wide open dunk

the funny thing this is so guardable but no one ever stops it when rondo goes on his move

i'm not saying Rondo is bad or terrible player but what I am saying is he gets to much credit, I don't think he is better than jack or jose, i think is in the same class

what are they right now 3-7 in there last 10, this is because Pierce and Garnett are banged up and Ray allen is struggling, just wait tell they get healthy they'll start dominating

I suppose it can be argued Rondo is in the same class as Jack or Jose. I dissagree offensively he has more weapons and defensively he wipes the floor off both of them.

Have some sense. We haven't beaten them in two years. We couldn't beat them weakened without starters.

Only way we can get Atlantic division if Celtics suddenly start tanking :P

They already started tanking. It'll be interesting to see if they can pull out of it. With Chicago and Charlotte playing well the Celtics could drop to 6th or 7th. I doubt Orlando or Atlanta are thrilled about that potential.

If we can get past Boston for 4th seed, we probably want Chicago to place 5th.

i am sorry, but their is no way that the C's finish 6th or 7th... its a longshot to say that the raps will even overtake those guys...
