Default Arsenalist: Last Night's Positives

Although it sounds as though the bad definitely outweighed the good last night, but Arsenalist spends a moment touching upon the pros from last night.

For those that watched, would you agree with him for the most part?

He hit a pull-up mid-range jumper and felt comfortable in driving to the rim against Juwan Howard or Nene. Chris Bosh was hitting his jumper and Parker executed two of his patented off-the-screen fadeaways. Andrea Bargnani went through good and bad stretches but ended the game strongly and looked good when he wasn’t turning the ball over. Let’s not kid ourselves though, we saw more bad than good last night and learned that this team is far from ready. Mitchell believes he doesn’t need any more preseason games but welcomes the practice time coming up. He feels that he knows what he wants the team to do, its a question of teaching the team how to do it. Of course, how could we forget…Mitchell knows everything, its the other that are lacking around him.

Don't forget that Hump passed the ball out of the post three times.

Amazing!

yeah - that was shocking. In fact, it almost made me think " wouldn't it be great if Bosh would learn how to the same thing? " ... That aside though, it's really hard to find any positives - even with O'Neal, our offense was not smooth at all, we shot under 40% for the quarter I think, and everything was so static, it was painful to watch. Not sure who's idea it is, but having Calderon bring up the ball and then quickly getting rid of it to Bosh or O'Neal is really dumb. I understand the need for an inside-out game and all that, but if we're going to do this every possesion, we might as well make Kapono our pg ... Luckily in the second half they started doing other things - but this was the most dissapointing pre-season game I ever watched.

honestly, Toronto's success, any they hav ehad, has ome in spite of themselves.

They are terrible.

The look terrible.

I haven't seen one good stretch where they are moving the ball and getting nice EASY baskets.

They're still shitty
