Default Is Arsenalist Being A Little Too Critical?

Thoughts guys .... is Arse bang on so far or a little overly critical of Bosh, Sam and company in his blog this morning?

He sounds a little defeated. This team has talked the talk for three years now but hasnít ever delivered on their words. Itís like pre-game everybodyís saying the right things, doing the right things in practice but as soon as you step out on the court - flop! Everything goes haywire and you come out with comments like these and everybodyís searching for answers as to why the team is performing so poorly seeing how they basically understood everything (or pretended to) prior to the game. Maybe this teamís like one of those girls that nods her head politely when their parents are telling her not to have sex but as soon as she walks out the door, everythingís out the other ear and she starts banging every Tom, Dick and Harry.

On the other hand, is this really a 4-4 team? Sure, we got some talent on the squad but we also have Hassan Adams. Weíre third in the Atlantic and thatís exactly where every analyst put us in pre-season. So why the shock? Itís because weíre expecting the ideal outcome from the players and team on every night and when they donít produce, we feel like its a letdown when in fact its entirely an expected result. Things in life follow the normal distribution curve and both the Raptors 3-0 start and losing 4 out of 5 is something youíd find at the ends of it. For this team to consistently play at a high level weíll have to get the best and nothing but the best out of the real talent thatís on the team and for that to happen we need to be motivated, prepared, focused and armed with great execution. Thatís NEVER going to happen under Sam Mitchell.

Expecting Jamario Moon, Anthony Parker or Jason Kapono to step up their game is setting your expectations too high. Parker is in decline, weíve seen Kaponoís limits and Moon will never be the slasher and hard-worker we want him to be. Heís content on drifting on the perimeter, playing some occasional defense and being a loose cannon on the floor doing the little things right and the big things wrong, in fairness to him his actual basketball skill is very limited. The only reason heís getting minutes is because heís the most athletic guy on the team and for a squad thatís starving for it, heís in perfect position to get some minutes. Itís like having an inflatable doll on a desert island, definitely not ideal but itíll get the job done.

The Arsenalist be critical? Wow SHOCKING. Least he is good at what he does. I am told I am more like this guy>> but I just look for the positive until there is none. Getting close to that if Jose is out any amount of time.

I didn't find that horribly critical. Bosh's comments as a whole, if he had quoted the whole spiel, were pretty brutal. But he didn't sound defeated. If you watch and listen to him and JO and Jose in these scrums, thay all appear pretty positive.

Has that not happened? He just takes another cheap shot at the easiest target. Big whoop. I'm impressed at how much he tries to hold himself back though.

the writing tone of the article is bang on with the content. he is questioning the readiness of this team to fight every night and they refuse to come out and put teams away. the post games are all the same. Sam just needs to come out and say these guys suck! and make them accountable for their on-court play! right now i think Jamario is a barameter for the attitude of this team - WHATEVER! Until CB starts to call guys out as the captain, this team will at best be a .500% team. too much talent to sit by and watch them drift!

If they go out and suck, were allowed to be critical.

There is room for all kinds of ways to go about writing a blog. I get readers and I am not that harsh. But that is the great thing about blogs everyone has different takes and opinions and readers can take in all kinds of opinions. I respect his approach and it is a way to go about it. He is good at it like I said. I think blogs in general reflect the people that write them or they should.
