Arrow Armstrong: Yes, the Raptors will make the playoffs

Quote:
I'm saying YES--they're going to make the Playoffs. Somehow and someway it will happen. I have no clue which games they'll win but I firmly think that they'll find a way to win at least two and maybe even three more games and 40-41 wins will get you the eighth spot in the East.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I believe that this team has the fifth best talent level in the East this year and hasn't played to its potential at times. Very frustrating for Raptors fans looking right now of hanging on at this stage for the eighth seed! By no means is anyone happy to settle for the eighth spot but it is too late in the journey to worry about that now Just get in!!!

Well at this stage after 76 games you are who you are and it likely won't change too dramatically. Here are three areas in the final six games that the Raptors have to improve (again--I'm not expecting dramatic change but even slight improvements in each area will close the gap enough to get over the hump) to get themselves into post-season.

he's too positive cause he wants us to tune into games
we mention defense and effort so many times and it doesn't change, they can't sustain it for a full game or half
what makes us think they'll change it in the end of the season?

I'll be surprised if we make the playoffs with some of these losers (Turk and Caldy) on our roster. We needed the W last night and we will regret that missed opportuniy.

Because he's saying they'll end up with 40 OR 41 wins.

He was drunk during one of the blow outs this season at the hands of the other team and thus doesn't remember calling the game or that it even happened

I still think Raps will make the playoffs. I think when the pressure is on most teams will perform better. So, Raps got 7 games left including tonight, they should be desperate to win these games more than ever before. Time to play their best basketball this season and carry it into the playoffs!!!

If Bosh hadn't gone down with an injury 50 may have well been possible.

bucks clutch comeback.

yeah if the bulls won tonight i think we'd be close to done, tied and without bosh--unlikely to keep pace. i still don't think we'll hold the lead but perhaps a game up now will be good enough for a tie at the end of it all, which is good enough. it's all about that head-to-head coming up.

Here's my breakdown for the rest of the way. Really we have to win 2 games...including the game against Chicago at home. That's not very unreasonable.

Let's say we lose tonight and in atlanta...very likely, and Chicago likely loses against Cleveland. So we're half game up. We play the Bulls at home and win, we're a game and a half up. Then we split the last two against detroit and new york. That's a half game up...even if the Bulls win their last three games of the season we make the playoffs on the tiebreaker.

So really it's still in our hands....win the Bulls game and one more.

Before we play the Bulls at home Chicago plays New Jersey. We'll be tied at best come Sunday!

Although i agree, 2 wins would do it. Chicago will lose at least 2 games down the stretch vs Cleveland, Boston, Charlotte. Too bad Bosh won't be back and we'll lose to Chicago.
