We were due for an exchange. It makes coming back to this board every few days worthwhile in the offseason since nothing else is going on. I enjoy SJ's posts, especially when I get him riled up.

He's still not on dfunkies level of aggressive posts though. I've never been pissed on a messageboard before until, we went at it. Getting banned was fun.

I'm going with Jordan for best ever. Lebron's stronger but Jordan was a better player and more skilled. Not to mention 9 time all-defensive.

Too bad Michael walked away from the game for a while and to bad he (likely) never got on the juice.

But....

6 NBA champion (1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998)
6 NBA Finals MVP (19911993, 19961998)
5 NBA Most Valuable Player (1988, 19911992, 1996, 1998)
14 NBA All-Star (19851993, 19961998, 20022003)
3 NBA All-Star Game MVP (1988, 1996, 1998)
NBA Defensive Player of the Year (1988)
NBA Rookie of the Year (1985)
10 NBA scoring champion (19871993, 19961998)
3 NBA steals champion (1988, 1990, 1993)
10 All-NBA First Team (19871993, 19961998)
All-NBA Second Team (1985)
9 NBA All-Defensive First Team (19881993, 19961998)
NBA All-Rookie First Team (1985)
2 NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion (19871988)
NBA's 50th Anniversary All-Time Team
#23 retired by Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat
NCAA champion (1982)
2 Consensus NCAA All-American First Team (19831984)
ACC Player of the Year (1984)
Oscar Robertson Trophy (1984)
Naismith College Player of the Year (1984)
John R. Wooden Award (1984)
Adolph Rupp Trophy (1984)

Career statistics
Points 32,292 (30.1 ppg)
Rebounds 6,672 (6.2 rpg)
Assists 5,633 (5.3 apg)

Location.

Jordan was better than Lebron is now imo. Lebron might get to his level. Jordan didn't have the periods of self-doubt like Lebron does, but those episodes for Lebron are becoming shorter and further and further apart. He dominates in someways that Jordan couldn't, but offensively can't put teams away on a regular basis like Jordan could.

I love the conspiracy theories against Jordan...just watch the games. They're still available. Proof is in the pudding...the pudding is right there on the inter-web for you to enjoy.

lol when did this happen?

on the lebron vs mj, if lebron wasn't a mental midget, he'd easily be the best player to step foot on the hardwood. he needs a dose of ice in him because that's what made MJ almost the best player to ever play. hell, thats what makes kobe more valuable than lebron come closing time.

I think it was on the ebsports boards. We got into it a few times and then it got ridiculous and we both got banned.

But that's what seperates MJ. Even though Lebron has more athletic and physical talent, MJs skill level, as well as his heart and compettitiveness sets him apart. Lebron doesn't have the MJ mentality where when his team is struggling, he needs to bring them back in the game and start imposing his will. It happens way too often where he's trying to get other guys going, and when they aren't hitting shots, he doesn't take it upon himself to lead them. That's why I think Cleveland Lebron was more dangerous overall than Miami Lebron, because in Cleveland, he was forced to score or CLE couldnt score enough to win, so he drew more fouls and scored more points which put a lot more pressure on team defences than what he does now.

Lebron needs to go full game attack mode in the playoffs for multiple playoffs to ever come near MJs level. He's too passive to be the GOAT. He just doesnt have Kobe or MJs killer instinct.

Totally agreed. Remember what we saw last year in Boston game 6? That was flat out dominance, all game. You can tell he was determined and didn't give a fuck in that game what happened. I don't understand why he doesn't do that practically every game? Maybe not when the big 3 first came together, but honestly who cares now? D-Wade is the most banged up we've ever seen him and IMO will never be the same and Bosh is just a girl. He should go on those scoring sprees because we all know he can and when the double or triple team comes dish it out to them.

look I watched jordans and lebron greatest games,

lebron is great a top player by all means, one of the greatest

but he is no Jordan and never will be, Jordan was so great that he became bigger than the nba, just think about that, is lebron greater than the nba,,

everyone around the world knows who Jordan is, the same cant be said about lebron

I personally don't like Jordan but even I can see this and i'm anti Jordan, I actually like lebron much better he is better person and a better teammate, but you have to give Jordan the respect because he commands it

MJ > LBJ

Idk about best ever b/c there are others up there like Magic, Wilt, Kareem, Russell and Bird. However he's certainly the best ever SG.

MJ was lucky to have an incredible #2 for so long though.

Also, I don't know if any other player could do what LBJ did, at 22 years of age, in the 2007 playoffs. That was truly incredible.

Arguments? Everyone here knows fan stands for fanatic, right? Winston Churchill once described a fanatic as "one who can't change his mind and won't change the subject."

There's no rhyme or reason to it. I grew up in southern Ontario, and I like basketball, so I'm a Raps fan.
