Appears that it's likely Delfino will be back

Brian Colangelo was on at the half with Elliott Freeman and he said that there is alot of uneasiness in Russia with some players not getting paid on time and that he has talked to Delfino's agent several times and it's very possible that they'll try to bring him back for next season and that it's possible that they try to bring him back this season. Colangelo said that that's why they kept the rights to him and that if anyone gives him an offer sheet they want to match, therefor bringing him back.

Good news I guess.

That definitely makes one of our wings expendable if he comes back before seasons end.

Well Parker is likely to leave anyhow. Delfino would just fill the void
But I surely welcome him back

Yea I was watching that too. He said that Delfino would be back for sure. Either this year or next year

Colangelo will get something for Parker, probably packaging him with another player in a trade. Just because we got a few wins here doesn't mean a trade is not coming.

he added a caveat about being under the luxury tax

adams will probably be cut by january 10th--i don't think they were stupid enough to guarantee him upfront. we'll have garbo come off the books. parker (i'd love him back but he) is probably gone. joey and jamario expire. i think they'll try to hold onto them if the price is right.

a lot comes down to how large the raises that everyone gets--does it fill the space left by those leaving? how much our draft pick costs, if we keep it, and what the tax line is next year. the economy's taken a hit but i don't know how fast that trickles through the nba.

it did however sound like they want delfino back. kimki's been paying him and doing so on time but he's their highest payed player (i think) and russia's been hit hard. they may decide its best to just walk away. however, if they do that, it'll be nearly impossible for toronto to get him back without exceeding the luxury tax. we were $1,100 under it before signing jake (as relayed earlier in an interview by bc)

Yay! Delfino is a solid player, and plays good D.

Although really inconsistent I would like Delfino back. Atleast he is better than a lot of wings we have. He might have a decent chance in starting

Delfino didn't start last year with the same wings. What makes you think he'll start this year?

The only value Delfino has is having another "guy" there for backup in case the raps package a couple of the current wings in a trade.

What was his consistency like in Russia? I just wonder, because I always suspected that his inconsistency was mainly due to low playing time

Manu dont start, so that just makes no sense.

He can come off the bench and bring some O and D.

Its not who starts, its who finishes.

I don't think that Delfino is the answer. We have Parker, Moon, Graham, & Kapono. Don't see him as the differance maker.

Delfino in our faster team will be much better than a spot up shooter, we could use him for sure.

The question is who goes in order to make room for Delfino. I think are wings are good enough right now and we should build with what we got for the time being.
