Default AOL Sports: Will Bosh Go the Way of Carter, McGrady?

The Raptors have a storied history of not being able to keep their young stars, dating back to Stoudamire, the franchise's inaugural pick and of course former All-Stars Tracy McGrady and Vince Carter.

While Bosh has made no indication he's interested in leaving Toronto, his time with USA Basketball at the Olympics, provided him with a taste of the finer things: winning and playing alongside elite players. Two things he hasn't had the luxury of this season, on a consistent basis. The Raptors have temporarily stopped the bleeding though, convincingly winning their last two games, and halting a seven-game losing streak. However, their 18-28 record doesn't quite gel with GM Bryan Colangelo's vision at the beginning of the season. "On paper, in terms of just pure talent, I would say, yes, this is the best team we've had," he was quoted as saying at the start of the campaign. A playoff berth still isn't outside the realm of possibility, it is the Eastern Conference after all, but another likely first round exit for the third straight year would do little to develop the franchise, or the confidence of its cornerstone star. Other players have packed their bags for a lot less.

I'm starting not to care. I want him to stay, but if he at least makes it clear to BC (his intensions) and keeps it quiet then i don't care at this point. The fact is, if we can trade him and get good players in return or even better sign and trade him and get 2-3 pieces in return, i'm starting to be fine with that.

Of all the players, aside from the absolute top few teams, ie. Boston, Orlando, Lakers..... who the fuck has the luxery of being surrounded by elite guys?

Honsetly, these guys are kiling me.

Wade has himself, and is above .500.
Same with LEbron.

perhaps that should be Bosh's first goal, unless he wants the rent-a-championship like Boston.

However, you don't win resepct of become a legend like that. Few people are respecting GArnetts Trophy, but lots are giving Pierce his due!!!!

your stars have to be stars, and role players have to play that role consistantly.

lol, not a good comparison, given that Carter + mcgrady have won a combined 3 playoff series together, since leaving Toronto ...

He aint going anywhere for all the reasons stated previously by most educated posters.
But if he does...Thanks for making the Raps a 500% team while you were here...... and BC get us some valuable pieces in return.

If I have an valuable employee who states his intentions of leaving...I open the door and escort him out to his car.

That's the million dollar question. If he leaves, that would suck, but it the franchise will move on. At that point, the money will be allocated to someone else. I know Chris loves it here. He's the face of the franchise, the fans love him, he's not surrounded my a media frenzy day in and day out. He can be himself. If he goes to another franchise, the fanbase, organization, town are going to put him under a microscope. Every little thing will be dissected.

Honestly Fella's, if Bosh is looking for Top Salary, like tops, then let him leave, he's not the only show in town.

And trust me, in Pro sports, players Are like objects, pieces to a puzzle. The 20+ million he may be looking for would certainly now go to waste in his absence.

Regardless, it is imperative that he re-signs with the Raptors, either to stay with the team long-term, or in a sign-and-trade that brings pieces back to the Raptors.

If he leaves for nothing then I'll be mad at BC.
But if he leaves and we get better pieces then GOOD
