Antonio Davis regrets leaving Indy

This isn't shocking, but here it is....

Indiana was sold out every game, as if Toronto wasn't?......Indiana a great city?

Antonio Davis, NBA - ESPN

Admiral 11-30-2012 07:01 PM

dude was always against Toronto, he didn't want his kids to go to school here because they would learn the metric system and the Canadian anthem

Rene_13 11-30-2012 07:51 PM

This guy's such an unloyal, ungrateful scrub piece of shit. He'd probably be stealing hub caps if he was 6'9 and could play some basketball. He forgets who gave him an undeserved pay day. No love lost for this piece of trash. He had two good years here.

Carlito 11-30-2012 07:54 PM

Fuck him.. Just an ass

box92 11-30-2012 08:22 PM

he was my favorite player :(

carp 11-30-2012 08:25 PM

He was given a chance to start here, what a whiner. Stumble McBumble on offence, he got way too many touches here.

LET'S GO RAPTORS!!!!! 11-30-2012 09:01 PM

When I first read the title of this thread I thought it read Anthony Davis lol

not that i'm defending Davis' lame hate for toronto, but why eye roll the notion that indiana is a great city? Have you even been there?

I have, it's not Detroit/Atlanta/Baltimore, but it's certainly not a Toronto class city.

INSIDER 11-30-2012 10:34 PM

he was a role player on Indy.... comes here, gets to start, and becomes a solid big (since he got a lot of playing time and time to shine), even got an allstar selection. and he regrets playing here? fuck off AD, you unappreciative baby. you're worse than that fat kid on 2 and a half men.

No, but he made it sound like it's such a great city. He also went on about how their games were always sellouts and how great the city was and he'd rather saty there. Meanwhile, this is also a great city and the games were always sellouts while he was here. All he'd have to say is i would have prefered staying in Indiana and have a chance at a ring.

Now, maybe i'm being overly sensitive because it's AD and he's bad mouthed his time here before but there's always something about him that pisses me off.

MBailey85 11-30-2012 10:40 PM

Playing in Toronto allowed him to make more money and develop into an All-Star player. If you can't appreciate and be grateful for that, than he could go eat a dick between chop sticks. He doesn't desrve to get mentioned anymore, seriously. Just to show you his character, when Stoudemire,McGrady,Carter talk about their time in TO they pretty much admit it was a mistake that they left, showing maturity. However, this clown Davis wants to continue on as if playing in Toronto did some type of harm to his career even though the Raptors treated him good and even brought his bum ass back for a second stint when nobody wanted him.

Youre thread title is bullshit. He's not saying that at all. He's saying he regrets leaving the pacers, not regreats playing in toronto.

Dario 12-01-2012 02:09 AM

yeah, he never directly said he regrets playing in toronto.

This.

Not to mention the $88M that the Raps paid him....

Yeah... poor guy. I really feel for him.

Windex 12-01-2012 02:41 AM

Guys, Indiana isn't a city :)
and Indiana is the home of basketball

Davis' regret is more to do with leaving a great team and not getting a ring. He's not bashing Toronto.

Here's AD trying to beat up Haywood in '04

dfunkie1 12-01-2012 10:59 AM

there's absolutely nothing wrong with what he said. i bet there's hundreds of players that share that same regret, and it has nothing to do with the city/country or anything past winning.

Nites 12-01-2012 12:27 PM

Did you guys even listen to it properly?

AR1815 12-01-2012 01:14 PM

He said he regrets leaving because, while he wanted to get a chance to start, Indiana went to the finals the following year, and he's never had the opportunity to do that.

We had a very solid team back then, it's not like we were losing games left and right. Made the playoffs three years in a row with him. Sure the Pacers were good, but nobody was beating Lakers those years.
