Default Raptors sign guard Anthony Carter

Raptors sign guard Anthony Carter :InsideHoops

The Toronto Raptors announced Monday they have signed free-agent guard Anthony Carter. Per team policy, financial details were not disclosed. InsideHoops.com assumes but has not confirmed that it’s a short deal, for the league minimum.

Carter, a veteran of 12 NBA campaigns, split last season between Denver and New York. He has averaged 4.9 points, 3.9 assists and 20.0 minutes in 599 regular season games. He has started 181 contests, recording averages of 5.6 points, 7.3 assists and 27.6 minutes. He has averaged better than 15 minutes per game in nine of his 12 seasons.

It is now official!

If we had Lin, ACC would of been sold out practically almost every home game with a ton of Lin signs. But for a 3rd string PG you cant really complain pretty much, since they wont really see much playing time other than helping out during practices. Im expecting to see him help in the progress of Bayless

tebow's in his 2nd year, didn't get much playing time as a rookie. lin will be in his 2nd year, and didn't get much playing time as a rookie......
i'll be rootin' for ya lin, fingers crossed

Good character signing. He's old and over the hill, but deep teams always have that third PG with experience to take the pressure off when one of the lead two guys gets injured.

Having a veteran 3rd stringer is especially important when Jose Calderon's hamstrings play a part in your PG rotation.

I don't want to be crass, but I honestly read this as "Lin signings" the first time, and was puzzled, then I thought you were making a sort of vague joke about Lin lookalikes in the stands!

Regarding Lin - he's a great story (not many NBA ballers come from Harvard!), but why does anyone think he'll be any good?

Does anyone really think he'll be good? Most of the suggestions to pick him up have been of the "let's get that Yao Ming following effect here" variety.

why would it be sold out if a 3rd stringer is added to the roster?
