cheering when another team's player makes a sensational play is fine..... cheering for another team to win is not. imho.

it's a fine line. when the game is being played, i'm cheering for them.... but as a staunch supporter of the tanking process, i'm not upset if they lose.

your response humoured me..... I think it has a hint of hypocrisy, but I understand.

I watch every game as an individual manner, cheering for the win until the game is over. The overall record won't be highly affected by one additional win.

As far as cheering for opposing players goes. If you're a fan of the game, how can you not give it up for awesome plays.

It's totally ok.... it's why it's so damned entertaining.

Maybe if we seen some play worthy of cheering the fans would do it.
We shouldnt be asked to be mindless drones, cheering because its our team thats playing.
I am a huge raptor fan, but I am also a big fan of other players in the league. When you love the game, you wil cheer for whatever the reason.

it was ridiculous how they cheered for griffins alley oop, I mean good dunk but not jawdropping, not worthy of a "OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH", I thought barons handle was better than the dunk itself

I can remember opposing fans going out of their minds every time Vince used to throw one down.... considering that Griffin is prob. the best dunker to hit the league SINCE Vince our fans' reactions are hardly surprising.

I agree with what your saying. Ive been to plenty of Raptors games and chances are that most or half the ppl in the stadium , just have the tickets and its their first time and dont know much about the players or the rules of basketball. You probably hear someone screamin "foul" when it was a clear block or watever. When they see an alley oop like that , its normal for them to go crazy, cuz they probably havent seen anything like that before in person. When your at the game you think every move a rival superstar does is Excellent, and Amazing. I remember i went to a Cavs game last year, and LeBron try to go all fancy by doin this spin move, and then fumbled the ball for a turnover, and the WHOLE Crowd was goin crazy as if they have never seen better ball handling in their life.

I didn't like the excessive cheering either.

It was a beautiful dunk, but people were standing up as if Megan Fox was bare naked on the floor of the ACC.
