There is still 7 more years before he'll be at the same exp lvl as Dirk. You never know. :cookie:

rapsmannn 06-13-2011 12:51 AM

Bargs has proven to get better at something every year, obviously no dirk never will be but what bargs is a dangerous scorer who can open the court for others,

i actually believe he is a better than he gets credit for,

the enviroment here might be to toxic for him here, if hwere going to trade him why not now if we can get maximum value for him, i could see chicago try to get him,

any team that wants to beat the heat should try to trade for him, no one on miami can guard him, actually most of the league cant, what hurts him is whats goes on at the other end of the floor

What exactly did he get better at last season?

MARTYNAS 06-13-2011 01:37 AM

All I know, Bargs get worse. What happened to his shot blocking, Rebounding and defense? I know he always was bad on d and rebounding, but he is getting even worse... And then again his range. I thought he is a better shooter, it looks he was.

Bargs is shit.

Corrected.

This is BS (Bargs shit)

Dirk won it all not because he is 7 foot tall and can shoot.
Its because he is a great player and a leader and hard worker

komot 06-13-2011 02:39 AM

bargs will never be dirk because in the off season dirk spends time working on his game, bargs spends time eating primo pasta :cookie:

bargs doesn't understand to be an elite player you need to put time and effort into it. you aren't just born an elite player. look at lebron, he has all the skill sets to succeed but he doesn't put any time into improving it during the off season so every season he becomes lechoke.

weswo 06-13-2011 03:30 AM

I don't think you can practice not choking in the off season lol...its all mental with lebitch!

Scoring. He never had to deal with double teams or carrying the offense before...he showed he could manage both with respectability.

DocHoliday99 06-13-2011 08:28 AM

Really, another Bargs thread? Lol. I don't recall a player that's moved from SF to PF to C to PF to C in a 4 year span. New team mates, new coaches, new styles lol. The Raps have become the Clippers, nothern version. Reality is, we won more games with Bargs than without. The team just needs the right coach and players that can compliment each other, at the moment the team doesn't have either.

The problem is that unless Bargs averages 7 rebounds & a block per game you would Halph to pair him up with a hall of fame defensive player to compliment him...
If only Ben Wallace didn't get old!!

dfunkie1 06-13-2011 09:04 AM

saying that we won more games with him than without him sounds so stupid considering that our team sucks. which team would improve if one of their best players were out of the line-up?

consistency from above has always doomed of this team. while bargs has probably faced a handful of challenges coming over and playing under the circumstances he's faced, it still doesn't excuse his lack of motivation.

Scoring? He was less efficient then the season before and shot for mediocre percentage. He got an extra 4 shots per game so his ppg went up, but his scoring overall never got better imo. As for getting double teamed, he would have got a lot more double teamed if he didn't camp out 25ft from the rim. He got off easy.

I agree with alot of this, but will say, it's easy to look awful defensively on a team that regularly runs out 4 other below average defenders. There isn't one stud defender on the Raps team, though James Johnson comes closest.... but he's only been here for half a season. Maybe Derozan or Davis can become that, but they have a lot of work to do to get there.

Bargnani would look a lot better on a team that had more legitimate defenders. Watching playoff basketball should make it obvious that the raps don't (can't?) get physical enough on defence 1 through 5.

Bang on. And honestly, this is the worst part, because really, you can't teach that. Something has to switch on in his head, and if it doesn't, and soon, he'll never be any more than a really nice scoring option off the bench on a good team.
