I f we are going by the numbers alone. Bargs as of right now is the best power forward in the east. If he continues he is a lock for the all star game. He leading both Bosh and Amar'e in scoring, FG% and EFF. Andrea is 8th in leading scorers. And I believe he will continue to get more attempts form the field then both of the other contenders. Again by the numbers defensively & in rebounding Bargs is chasing but not by much. 1.5 rebounds a couple of blocks and steals behind. But I think he is playing better defense then both, in terms points allowed and challenging his opponent.

Bosh is Defensively a better player, but he is coming off a games as the primary scorer for the Heat and his numbers on both sides of the ball are going to drop as games go on. And I don't think he getting the votes from fans.

Amar'e is getting in. Even thought I think the numbers will show he is going to be trailing in all most every category. But the voting block in NY and just the exposer in playing in such a market will bring him the majority in the fan voting.

I believe he should be an allstar, call me crazy but right about now I'd take him over Amar'e in any basketball pool.

The guy who has the fewer attempts. And we must also consider his percentages in 3pts are lower than previous years (if i ain't wrong)

So lemme get this straight.... some people wanted Amare over Bosh for about 5-7 years and yet now would take Bargs over Amare after 8 games?

Bargs has been playing great so far. No doubt about that.... but he's not going to take Bosh's spot on the all-star team.

Bosh plays for the best team in the game right now and is avging about 20 & 8 on 54% shooting and less than 15 shots/gm. And like it or not, his rebounding and D is still better. He'll get the nod (and should).

Andrea might have to weather a snub or two until this team gets better record-wise.

Why do we always have to make things about Bosh, can't we just be happy that Bargs is playing up to his potential and thank the lord we didn't pick Adam Morrison or Sheldon Williams? I hope Andrea makes the All-Star team, it would be good for him to realize it pays off to work hard. But if he doesn't, oh well, it's not a big deal. I just want him to keep up this level of play, whether that means the League rewards him for that or not.

And by the way, the record of the team you play for has little to do with whether you're an All-Star or not. Case in point, Kevin Love.

Kevin Love's numbers were ridiculous.

When you're the league's leading rebounder, while still scoring 20/gm and shooting 41% from 3 your case might be stronger than most.

No argument from me though re Bargs' play. I do hope he keeps it up.

I just don't see Andrea making the team this season, not in the East, not as a forward for sure. It has nothing to do with the team record, more with the abundance of better talent (or bigger names) at 3-4.

Frankly, I don't care one bit and neither should he. This is a team game, and if he continues to play like he's done so far this season at both ends of the floor, the help will arrive and the wins will come. And that's what matters.

I believe he said in any basketball pool... not in real basketball terms.

As for Bargnani, I think you're overestimating Bosh's D... but we've grown to be quite close on how much we differ on this! Bargnani is a prime candidate to be snubbed though, you are correct in that!

If he was half as bad as some would have you believe there's no way he'd be a part of the best D in the league (arguably). He played great D for Team USA too, remember? He's not a defensive force and probably never will be but he's decent on that end.
