Andirka Nowitzgnani - Compare if you dare

JUST SAYING... discuss... :police:

====== MPG FG% 3p% RPG AS BPG PPG
======================================
DIRK N: 36.8 .528 .278 8.4 1.8 0.6 24.4
BARGS: 34.2 .460 .447 5.0 1.4 0.8 21.2

Dirk Nowitzki - Salary this season (17.2 Million)
Andrea Bargnani - Salary this season (8 million)

Is 3 bounds less really worth the extra 9 million? Especially with a rebounder like Evans on this team?

Shifty.py 11-22-2010 03:05 AM

3 rebounds, 3 points and 3 double teams
and that little thing

Nowitzki has led the Mavericks to ten consecutive NBA Playoffs

the money part
are we supposed to forget he's been in the league for more than a decade and is a multiple all star that lead a team to the finals

finstock 11-22-2010 03:26 AM

This thread is a gross insult to the Diggler.

rapsmannn 11-22-2010 03:53 AM

there different players,

eazy187 11-22-2010 04:10 AM

they both have the same number of rings.

Mr Dirk has been a big FLOP leading his team anywhere you can argue...no?

NBA finals appearence? Only to be embarrased by Mr D wade and the Heat after being up 2-0 in the series start...

Also, a year later, apart of one of the biggest upsets in NBA history... with a league leading 67-15 win record losing to Golden State in the first round that year?

Many people here say Andrea is not a Franchise player, or to a extent not even a 2nd option on a good team...

Look at the numbers... Isn't Dirk a franchise guy? Will Andrea go down the same path? lol :police:

refs + miami = title

fancylad 11-22-2010 08:44 AM

i don't this this comparison is a good idea.

I have supported Bargs for his whole time here. I value what the guy brings. Inspite of his struggles, i see the positives. WIth that in mind, i don't think this is a comparison / convo i will take part in.

Windex 11-22-2010 08:52 AM

I dont think there's ever been a center like Bargs
a center thats a leading scorer, perimeter player, with size, limited rebounding, bad hep defender but OK man to man

Barracuda 11-22-2010 09:22 AM

We're always comparing players to see who is better, and who we wish we had. Fact is, we've got who we've got. Maybe we should support 'em a little better, especially when they're actually winning.

That's all....

he still averages 3.2 points more, 3.4 more rebounds and shoots 7% better in his declining years when Bargs' is supposed to be in his :facepalm:prime

FTW... that's what he pretty much implied.

and 7% is a shitwak.

TORaptor4Ever 11-22-2010 10:33 AM

Boy oh boy this forum is awesome these days.

As long as we're on the subject why not go all the way?

Bargs > Kobe.... I mean Bargs is making $8M/yr and Kobe is making $25M/yr... and Kobe only scores a few more points per game! Who would you rather have? :reporter:

I'd rather try to think of him in terms of Sheed. And I really hope they build a team in a similar manner to Detroit and not one like Dallas with offense always being more of a priority than defense. If they go the Dallas route here, then they will be the same kind of paper tigers.

In any case, five years in there is no clear picture of what Andrea is going to be. He has always provided flashes before. I need to see that this current stretch is more than just another tease before I decide that he is any less frustrating.

Raptorman 11-22-2010 11:08 AM

People that draw their basketball conclusions from stats alone are always right. Just ask them.

Ex2k 11-22-2010 11:15 AM

Just saying

Looking at stats tho..

Where Bargs is 5 years into his career stats wise is about the same place Dirk was in his 5th year...

With the stats compairison them, ... wanted to see if you guys think he is heading down the same path career wise...
