halphbreedballer 11-30-2011 01:35 PM

Yeah he was broken down last year from the grind.... he had it just after the season.

TORaptor4Ever 11-30-2011 01:49 PM

Damn. That's some quality gaining right there!

Wasn't he around 220lbs last season?

Dude got FAT! hahaha

Someguy again 11-30-2011 01:52 PM

wait until training camp when he converts that into muscle

box92 11-30-2011 03:22 PM

I thought it was muscle?

Superjudge 11-30-2011 05:39 PM

hold the presses...if he's 250 and in shape jesus, amir could be a very tough customer in the paint...good on him if its true

I wanna believe.... but 30lbs of quality mass (mostly muscle) in less than a year is impossible... even with 'roids. Still... even if he's just put on 10-15lbs that's going to help A LOT.

Superjudge 11-30-2011 05:46 PM

not on a 6'10" frame it isn't. But ya...I'm with you, I just don't think its true, to good to be. Same as Bargnani on the cover o fmens health....that was... to good to be true

'roids are so passe.....it's all about HGH and stem cells :)

I do agree though, Amir was fit to begin with so adding 30lbs of quality mass since the season ended is a stretch.

Acie 11-30-2011 06:47 PM

FWIW he never said he gained 30lbs.

He said he was 225-230 when the season ended and he's now 245-250.

15-20lbs. of mass in 7 months on a guy his size is not impossible.

dfunkie1 11-30-2011 06:50 PM

amir and his size has and always will be a myth. he's really 6'7 210lbs. we should just get it over with and make him a small forward.

Also, it's not unrealistic that he wasn't light by the time the end of the season rolled around..... guys sometimes don't have the time or energy to maintain the wait through the entire season.

myklue 11-30-2011 07:52 PM

he definitely does look bigger than last year. But maybe he worked on his legs, which would probably be the most mass. nowadays im not surprised, athletic training has changed dramatically and these results are possible. also, why would he lie?

unlikely he's worked on his legs much as he underwent ankle surgery.....
