I dig it. Although the extended shots of the Inglis sign were a bit odd.... Is there some kinda significance that I don't get?

i think it's more just a classic toronto staple. when i'm driving up the Gardiner from oakville and i see the Inglis sign I know I'm in Turannah.

Every single time i drive past the Inglis sign, i make a point to reflect on the message of the day. yup. every single time.

I love the Inglis sign. The messages in the 90's were a thing of beauty. Stuff like

A single sunbeam
drives away
many shadows

That one got repeated a few times in spite of it making absolute no sense. Now it's just the usual hokum taken from some bad motivational guide.

LX 06-03-2011 04:17 PM

oh - and he likely lives in a condo overlooking the Inglis sign.

word. That Inglis sign is such a classic part of Toronto-iana. I started my reflections in the late 90s and you're right the quality has suffered over time.

Actually it was

A single sunbeam
is enough to
drive away
many shadows

I didn't want to give that one short shrift.

I wish we had more guys like him. This is why I want ONLY players who want to play in TO. I rather have fighters on the court than divas, even if it means less talent.

PS. Reminds me of this one

fancylad 06-03-2011 06:00 PM

Alright I've thought about it and Amir is my new favorite Raptor.

creative1mm 06-03-2011 06:17 PM

i think you can only make videos like this when your a player that is untouchable..
it would be embarrassing if he were to get traded..
on his website he would have to change his blue jay cap

DonMughal 06-03-2011 07:38 PM

Amir's a G.

why?

Guy seems to genuinely like it here and he's just letting people know. Getting traded is a part of sports, but it would have nothing to do with how he feels about his adopted city. I don't think you and i seem to have the same understanding of the word 'embarrassing'.

I think it's great that he made this. Fans love to know that their players are happy to be where they are.

Even if he got traded, there's nuthin' embarrassing about it. He still would've been glad to be here, and we'd know it.
