I was not confused, it was worded incorrectly, sorry for reading a post in literal terms (if you read my post you'll see that suggest what some readers are interested in happening). Furthermore, my post was the second reply to the post, and no one else was debating the topic at all, so it's not like I disrupted the vibe of the thread or anything.

I'm not going to debate you anymore on this topic because it's ridiculous.

The way people complain about players on this board when they are playing poorly, I can't fault Duca for taking the original poster's word literally, which was 3rd big off the bench, which is 5th big in the rotation.

Duca didn't give him a hard time, he just responded.

benching amir would have devastating consequences to our defense. The correct solution is to bench JV and start amir/pp, unless when facing a large big.

taking it literally would mean Duca expected the poll to ask if amir should be behind hayes/tyler/jv/pp in the rotation, how is that realistic?

I don't know what you're trying to say.

What he's trying to say is that the poll options, if interpreted your way, suggest he should either be starting, traded, or completely benched, without the obvious option of being the first big man off the bench, which is obviously what was meant. To assume otherwise is silly.

In every team there is a player, just one player who is hidden in terms of stats, but he works like a glue for the whole team. I do not have the time to bring some examples for that. right now, Amir is the glue of this team even when his stats are on a slump.

I love Amir and I think he is a rare kind of a player, a player who has a solid set of skills but he plays within a team platform. If you bench Amir right now, you might see a totally different Raptors team : bad one.

There have been nights where he's been the most impactful player on the court and put up a mediocre stat line.

In a lot of ways Amir is the heart and soul of the team. That doesn't necessarily mean that he has to start. He probably should finish. I just wish that ankle would be a little more reliable.

it would be if he would take time to heal it properly, and stop playing through the injury. He's been pretty reliable in the past.
