Oh I was thinking,

I asked about the ball being smaller, which it isn't, as I couldn't figure out why the US was clangin back rim on every long distance shot.

I had no idea the 3pt line was closer.

That makes a HUGE difference. Especially in a short tournament.

I wonder why they don't make um the same

Dunno, that's baskeball history and I have no clue.

BTW, 3s distance is going to be changed by the FIBA, although it isn't going to be the same than the NBA's one. And the reason is because it should be painted two 3 points lines at the courts (for the youngest people and for the seniors) and that would be a mess.

Sorry, couldn't help myself - that's a myth right there. Tim Duncan is a first-rate whiner and complainer in the NBA as well. Bosh, for instance, as much as we rag on him sometimes, is truly a remarkably restrained player in that respect.

I dont care if he screams all night long at the refs, I don't care if he cries like a baby, or Pulls a Tyson and claims Baby eating, he's the best.

Period.

Arguing this is ridiculous man, honestly.

Who is arguing that Duncan isn't the best? He has been the best PF in the game pretty much since his rookie season, no doubts about it. In fact, he just might be the best all-around PF ever to play in the NBA.

That doesn't change the fact that, despite his otherwise stoic demeanor, he is whining to the refs way too often.

exactly - this year they were super motivated. 15 years ago, USA would have won even if they got together 5 minutes before the game. Today, it takes every bit of their attention in order to dominate. And even then, they no longer dominate like they used to. And the game is growing so fast, all over the world, especially in China.

They were saying that there are 300 millions basketball players in China - that's almost as the US population. When you have a pool of talent so large, it's only a matter of time until China becomes a powerhouse.

Still, for the time being, USA is by far the gold standard.
