Honestly, the whole, "It isn't that the US is good, it's just that my team isn't playing like they can" theory, well, it's a bit questionable.

And I'm being nice.

Cuz you don't like trash talk.

oh common, I have told you a thousand times that even when spain was pretty good I though there wasnt a big chance. But there is one. I dont have much more faith due to spains terible playing. Again, US defense is awesome, but are you telling me their offense is THAT good. Theres no team play at all. And thats whats basketball is all about.

Belsius I don't know what game you are watching, but this team is NOT playing as individuals on offense. They play as a team.

That said, their offense isn't as great as it could be, but it's still better than every other team's offense lol.

Why Carmelo is getting the burn that he does is beyond me. He's been useless throughout these Olympics for the Americans. All the more reason why someone like Redd should be getting Melo's minutes.

They're averaging over 100 points while playing great defense.

That's what basketball is all about...doesn't matter how they're doing it.

Which is fine, but he hasn't been able to hit the broad side of a barn during these Olympics.

Lol @ all the USA haters on this forum. I said it in another thread, i'll say it again, you were never better then them, they will always be better then you, they are taking it serious now and a beatdown is coming to Spain in the gold medal game.

Gratz on the silver tho, not a bad accomplishment at all Spain fans.

Btw, Marc Gasol = disappointing, i heard he was good, im not impressed.

Also, Melo hasnt had a great tourny, ill agree to that, but those that say he isnt physical and he backs down are dead wrong, he gets in peoples faces and he stood up for D12 of all people.

Think about it, this isnt even the best team USA could field. Defensive player of the year, perhaps the best PF ever and many others sitting at home watching, its ridiculous to even think any country is remotely close.

nobody can argue USA is not the best team. What most people are saying is that the world has caught up so much that all it takes is a bad day when the other team shoots 60% from the 3, or the americans can't get a bucket, and they're gone.

Argentina, without Manu, and shooting a horrible percentage from 3pt range, were within 6 with 2 seconds left in the first half ... I think the days of total domination are over for good. As long as they are serious about it, they will still win most competitions. But it will never be easy again, and probably in 10 years or so they will start losing more than they win (while still remaining the best team in the world).

Jesus Christ.

Why do you think they had a horrid shooting percentage??????

You guys will give NO credit to the Americans ever.

I HATE the US, but I ain't dumb. They are Elite in a tourney full of good teams. ELITE.

I watched almost all that game, it was NEVER close.

It got close in the second quarter(Argentina was only down by 6) but because of the last scond foul on Melo in the second quarter the momentum went in USA's favour. When the Second half started USA got out of the gates fast and took a commanding lead and never looked back

If you mean a team literally has to be on crazy fire and the entire USA team has to be cold for the entire game for them to lose, i guess it could happen.

To say the days of domination are over? Havent they just beat every team in the world by at least 20 points? What is considered domination? I know if im on a team and we lose by 20, i feel pretty dominated :P

Bosh has been nice. Some people would prefer Gasol on their team. Hope that wasn't too hard for some people to follow.

I would rather have Bosh. He has a nice shot, and can be more physical than Gasol. So IMO, I would rather have Bosh and I guess what we do have Bosh, so I am happy
