well, if you think that all amar'e can do is dunk, you don't watch the games he plays.... Bosh has no heart to play under the basket that amar'e does and amar'e can actually play defense...

im happy i guess, but as i said in another thread, any GM worth his weight in draft picks inquires about allstar players possibily on the block, whether they really want him or not, they just wanna hear the asking price. Once the asking price invovled Chris, BC hung up, as he should have, you will all be thankful for this when Chris resigns

Absolutely and what GM wouldn't inquire about the asking price of one of his former prized possessions?

When Stoudemire is moved somewhere other than Phoenix, people will quickly realize that without Steve Nash feeding him fat potatoes off the pick and roll, he's just your average athletic big man.

you might realize that. Or... you will realize that if he goes somewhere with a good defensive PG that doesnt get blown by every single possesion... Amare doesnt have to come over and help the PG while still gaurding his own man... and then the PF that he's gaurding gets an easy bucket because shaq is too slow for helpside D alot of the time.

Not saying Amare is great @ D... but nash is one of the worst defensive PG's in the league and ruins it for the whole team. I think his mentality is... if they get a 2.. we can come back and get a 3 and win lol.

Well, I don't know if I'd characterize him in such a dim light, but he certainly isn't what he could be.

Positives:
- Extremely athletic
- Good close game

Negatives:
- Head case: plays when he wants to
- Average defender; he's under-sized and doesn't like a challenge in the post
- Average range; certainly doesn't have the J that Bosh does
- Is even less likely than Bosh to be able to create (and make) his own shot in the clutch
- Intermittent knee problems, and he doesn't put the work into rehabilitating injuries that is necessary; he's 2 years older than Bosh and has missed more games.
- His contract is up 2010.

Stoudemire would be incredible if he dedicated himself to the game like Phoenix has been begging him to do for the last several years. But he just hasn't put in the work needed to become a dominating player in this league on his own, and at 26-27, I think he's running out of time.

Yes, Nash gets beat regularly and helps too much, but Amar'e's weak-side D is not good and he is under-sized at PF. He doesn't have the fight or tenacity that a guy like Sir Charles did.

So all the talk about Bosh leaving town is looking like a lot of hot air. Hot air coming from SAS? Who knew?

This has been discussed before. Amare is definetely a better player in the offence. Bosh is slightly better in defence. Overall Amare is a better player. Oh BTW, he can definetly shoot better than Bosh. I like both players and they are different. Amare had an operation on his knee that kept him out half a season and it might repeat. Also he has personality issues that made him 8th pick. He could have been easily in the top-3. Bosh has a good character and a role player. But he is not terrific in the clutch time and playoffs. Amare has absolutely no hesitation in the most crucial times. It's about which player best fits in your team and how you manage them. No need to bash one to defend another.

That air is coming from Miami, Florida. He'll be playing next to D-Wade in 2010 and when they become the NBA champions, we'll be very sorry in Toronto.
