Gordon Hayward - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Really liked the way he played in the tournament.

Looks like he should be available at 13.

Great shooter....hits the offensive glass....

30% of his points from the foul line.....

Thoughts?

I laughed at first, but now, I wouldn't be surprised. Colangelo does love him some shooters.

naw man, this is a larry bird pick all the way. We'll probably be shocked to all hear he takes hayward at 10 to team up with his prized possession hansbrough

Definitely. But he duplicates Granger, no? You know the Pacers are gonna be looking at taking the hometown kid.

Hayward's not a great shooter, and while he got to the line in college I don't think he has next level athleticism. He has bust written all over him.

he is 6 foot 9, but his wing span is 6 foot 7... It's odd?????

We need a wing with the athleticism to defend long SF's. Don't see him being anything but a plus scorer.

I like this kid. I think a lot of people arent sure how he will do in the NBA and thats understandable, but some how this kid gets it done.

From wiki:
During the 200910 season, Hayward was the only player to finish in the Horizon League's top five in both scoring and rebounding; he was also in the league's top 10 in field goal percentage, free throw percentage, blocked shots, offensive rebounding, defensive rebounding (in which he led the league), and minutes per game. [9] At the end of the regular season, he was named the Horizon League Player of the Year.

Very impressive for someone only in their second yr of college.

i like him and we need a young SF... he can match with barg in the 3 line... it's a plus. maybe he can be a complement to the team.

draft him BC if you can, it's way better than a lot of of guys we talk about in 13th pick !

Stephenson is a better shooter and ball-handler than Hayward.

It's entirely about his competitive nature. That's what it's all about with him. That's where his success has come from so far. But now he has to be a little bit overwhelmed in terms of size and athleticism. I'd love to see him become the next Bird, but it's going to be a hard road for him to just not become the next Morrison.

He'll have a hard time taking minutes from Kyle Korver.

Utah is a good place for him though - it's the right system.
