Still baffled by Kenny's comments when justifying JJ getting in.

What dimension is that? Is he evn in the top 30 in scoring? Top 40? Dude is averaging 15ppg.

A 6'7 SG averaging 2.8asts/3.4rpg should not be an all-star.

The one dimension is his pay cheque. It's other-worldly.

Lowry, Stephenson, Afflalo, Teague, Jefferson all more deserving than Joe Johnson. Just terrible.

Good for Demar.

Ross, JV, and Demar is the Canadian content limit. Any more Raptors in the event would make Americans turn off the TV.

I was rooting for Kyle. On the other hand, ASG selection would have driven his price tag even higher, so I guess we will have to wait for him to make it next year, as a Raptor!

Nets fans.....

Quote:
He really didn't deserve the spot though, and I can understand the frustration other fans are feeling...if your team's player deserves it, and they give it to someone else for obscure reasons, then yeah, you'll be annoyed.

I think at minimum, Lowry deserved it over Johnson for sure. I would probably go with Lance Stephenson over Johnson too.
Quote:
Joe Johnson has been good for the last 10-12 games, thats it. How does he deserve a spot? His season numbers aren't even that great.

The lack of real all-star caliber players in the east is alarming. 7-8 years ago, a starting SG with Johnson's current numbers/season, on a team below .500, would be conisdered a joke if you bought his name up for an all-star appearance.

Can somebody explain to me how is 16/3/3 all-star numbers?

This is great! Derozan is an all-star. I love it! We shoulda had two, but I'm still happy now I can say we do have an all-star on our team. Maybe next year it'll be two.

actually, I think the fans should vote for all the players. All star is not a player ranking, it's a popularity contest. The 1-2-3 all nba teams are the real glory, not the all star.

and it's not like the coaches did any better than the fans ...

well.. Demar is the one guy you identify the team with.. Lowry is the MVP of this team, but Demar has been on raps for awhile and all the work he puts in he deserves it. If he didn't make it this season.. then when

Having Kyrie on their messed up the entire All-Star selection..

the true irony is that probably JJ doesn't even want that spot, he has enough all star selections, he's not hall of fame material and probably would appreciate a holiday a lot more than 5 minutes of meaningless pickup ball ....
