They were defending it too, wonder why any coach would vote for Joe Johnson, let alone multiple.

And the reaction by guys like Kenny on why JJ was selected has me wondering if some of them even watch these games.
Yea I'm really pissed about that too. Johnson shouldn't have anywhere near consideration. But it comes back to the fans being idiots. If they hadn't got their way then neither Wade nor Irving would be in the game let alone starting, and Kyle has a guaranteed spot.

joe fucking johnson? did they just watch that 20+ point quarter game and call it a day? that guy has been atrocious this entire season, he just started scoring decently recently and gets put in over affalo, lance and kyle? Lance had the best chance, but I guess coaches don't like his reckless style, and Orlando hasn't been winning enough for affalo to be considered. Prob also has to do with trying to be "fair" and not put two Raptors in there

I think if the coaches would have seen those last 2 games where Kyle had 30+ then he would have got the nod. Unfortunately, voting had already ended.

They shouldn't have needed the last 2 games. Kyle's been great all season long.

I agree that it shouldn't have to come to that. But apparently the voting between Lowry and Johnson was really close. So if that was the case, factoring in those couple games I think would have got him in.

I still can't get over the fact that Joe Johnson got in over Lowry. This is fucking bullshit. Also fans are fucking stupid for voting in Irving and Wade. both don't deserve to be in the All-Star game.

Only thing we can hope for now is that someone other than DD gets injured and can't play in the All-Star game, forcing them to sit out. That way Lowry might get in as a reserve.

They'd probably pick Lance before Kyle.

Apparently it was between KL and JJ and it was close.

Brooklyn's Joe Johnson over Toronto's Kyle Lowry was the closest vote among the Eastern coaches, league source tells Yahoo.

I can only hope they would pick Lowry, but I have to agree with you as Vogel would make the selection and it's almost a guarantee that he takes Stephenson if an injury were to occur

It's Stern that picks any injury replacements right?

I was referring to someone in case of injury. They'd still want only one Raptor, plus Miami has 3 now and the Pacers only have 2.

Yea I am pretty sure it's the commish that does. Though he's done in a couple days. So Silver would be the one choosing the replacements no?

At the end of the day this was 100% a business decision. Lowry can't dunk and his defense will slow down the All-Star game. He absolutely deserved to make it but this bullshit league cares more about highlight plays.

I even think that Bosh should not have made it. Now before everyone goes crazy and says "you just hate they guy because he left Toronto," no it's the fact that he is only averaging 16.9 points, 6.7 rebounds with 1.1 assists versus that of Lowry who is averaging 16.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 7.6 assists. Though I understand they only take so many guards and forwards, it's just that the guy is playing so much better than Bosh and truly deserves to play in the All-Star game.

I agree with that, I posted this same argument like 2 weeks ago. I don't understand why the started said he was an easy pick lol. Watching Kyrie getting owner right now makes me happy lol. watch the knicks cavs game lol.

Guess they also didn't watch Lowry spank the Nets and Johnson twice this year.
