Think TOR coulda got two guys in being 3rd in the east. KL been KILLIN in 2014

Kendall Marshall (@KButter5) January 31, 2014
Shocked @Klow7 wasn't named an all-star as well... #Robbed

Landry Fields (@landryfields) January 31, 2014
Comparing Kyle Lowry & Joe Johnson.. Kyle numbers are better & he's on a winning team. So how is he not the obvious choice? #Raptors

That's all because of fan voting, if D-Wade would not have been voted in by the fans, he would not be in the game. Coaches would not have voted for him.

Guess it's a win for name brand recognition

Doubters will be sorry when Lowry wins MIP

The league really needs to look into dropping fan voting for starters. Or at least make it so that they think their votes matter, but really don't. I'm sick of this popularity contest bullshit. Irving is not a starter and on the west side, they voted in a guy that had no chance of even playing. Fucking ridiculous.

In the east they voted for two guys who shouldn't start, one shouldn't be in the game, and in the west they voted for a player who played for like a game all season and got re-injured lol.

Paul Jones mentioned an idea he heard of the other day - have the coaches select all the players, and allow fans to vote for the starters.

Expect Kyle to take it out on opponents for the rest of the season.

I'm far more upset at who was selected over Lowry then the fact that he wasn't selected. I could have even understood Afflalo given his numbers, but Joe Johnson? IMO he shouldn't have even been in consideration let alone get in ahead of KL, AA, LS. And the reaction by guys like Kenny on why JJ was selected has me wondering if some of them even watch these games.

That's not a bad idea. I could get behind that. One of the many things Mr. Silver needs to look into.
