Now that I have your attention, my plea is to help get some good returns for our beloved Raps players as post-Bosh we have had nobody even close to making it. As true Raptor fans we need to help out to support our team and we only have til January 20th to do it!

DD is there at lowly #10 and Lowry isn't even on the list for all his great plays!

Even if we can't make it, we need to help our guys get some decent well-deserved recognition. Bump their name up a little bit. Its the least we could do to show our appreciation for them bringing it every night and taking their game to the next level. Believe it or not, good returns can result in more confident players which could result in even better play so there is something you can do to help your team. Instead of just bickering from your couch, you could have a hand in their continued development.

Its quite easy:
1. Simply go to nba.com by clicking on NBA All-Star 2014 Ballot

2. Select your favorite players - it should look something like this:

3. Don't forget your write-in vote

4. Press Enter and enjoy knowing that when your team is playing in the East Coast finals you can pat yourself on the back because you did your part in helping the Raptors achieve victory!

I voted for DD & Lowry at least. Grievous as an All Star makes me chuckle. :cookie:

I voted but I selected people who I thought deserved to start, not favorite players.

Anyway, I think Lowry is going to make it this year.

That'd be great, if he wasn't an UFA next summer.... :dead:

i vote every day for DD and Lowry.

East : Noah - JV - Deng - DD - Lowry
West : Duncan - KD - Batum - Parker - CP3

+ Amir

Carlos Danger 01-10-2014 08:50 AM

Don't the votes only determine starters? Good chance one of the two gets in on the bench.

Raptors just have to finish strong in January and they'll get automatic bids

Ataf 01-10-2014 10:00 AM

Yea, you only vote in starters. OBV demar wont beat Wade or Irving. The coaches choose who's on the bench. But I guess the votes might influence their decision, who knows... I doubt it though. I think Derozan will get consideration from the coaches if he keeps up the good work. Especially against good teams. You usually get a player from the playoff teams, so it'd be hard to believe if none of our players get any consideration.

You might be on the wrong forum. At RF the posters only post when they have someting intelligent to add. You wont find 15 pages of crap on a thread of Demars new haircut. Or members bashing each other for having different opinions (usually anyways).

I know a PERFECT forum for you!!:cookie:

I think DD and lowry each have a decent chance of coach selection. Prob not both but one of them. Despite the fact that lowry has been better, I think DD might get the nod.

Ball Don't Lie 01-10-2014 12:57 PM

Lowry deserves the nod more than Derozan, and he should be one of the bench PGs the coaches vote in.

Diamond Scorpion 01-10-2014 02:05 PM

Both DD and Lowry deserve to be All-Stars, but it will only happen based on the coaches selections. Simple as that.

Race to the MVP Ladder | NBA.com

The Rudy Gay trade revealed many things about the Toronto Raptors. It also provided an avenue for Lowry to cement himself as the true leader of that team -- at least until he gets traded -- and a player who is capable of willing his team to wins by virtue of his relentless motor. DeMar DeRozan has been the Raptors' leading scorer all season, but Lowry is their team leader. And he's shared plenty of the scoring burden since Gay departed. He's averaging 18.8 points, 9.1 assists and 4.8 rebounds in his last 10 games. Those are elite point guard numbers by anyone's measure, but especially so on a team that is 7-3 during that span.

I saw some mention of Lowry being worthy of mvp consideration on NBAtv. I think it might have been Barry.

tdotbased 01-10-2014 04:02 PM

all star weekend in general has become an absolute joke anyway

just look at those vote #s lmfao. the casual fan doesn't even know that their favorite superstar is injured or 40 years too old.

Chiggmo 01-10-2014 04:10 PM

Im not going to waste my time voteing for them as they'll never make it as starters. DD doesnt deserve it and neither does Lowry. Although they debateably deserve bench roles which are coach decisions. Hence why im not voting. Lowry i feel deserves it way more than DD but they both do. Mostly due to all the injuries in the east though.
