Yes, it's early.... it wasn't an encouraging performance though.

I'm also concerned that we obviously needed shooting from the wing spot.... and Ross, the kid with the supposed "silky shooting touch" (who we passed on Drummond for) was no where to be seen for most of the game. If he's not good enough to play even when Fields is sucking this badly then we might have drafted the wrong guy.

Imagine having JJ instead and a few millions to spare!

First regular season game for Ross. I'm just saying.

JV has been playing against men since he was a teenager.

I'm going to choose to believe that fields' contribution to the team cannot be measured by stats
but hell, this guy needs to at least hit a few of those wide open jumpers, at least be 2/6

A stud wing doesn't make sense for this lineup. You need one to be successful in this league, but thy aren't just floating out there. We don't have one because the costs are too high and so BC and Casey are selling Field's as a nice "fit" for our new up-tempo style of play. Seeing George completely destroy him in every way, shape and form in the opening quarter should've had him yanked. If anything, he's supposedly out there for his defense. I was watching some vids of him from his rookie year and his shot had some sort of flow to it. I remember hearing someone on one of the telecasts say he's remade his shot, and now it has some sort of hitch. Looks ugly. Could be the real reason why he chucks so many bricks. A pro 3 at this level has to be a knock down shooter or Bruce fucking Bowen. at least Bowen could hit corner threes...

I'm not asking Ross to D up George... I'm asking him to hit open shots (the thing that he was supposed to be really good at?).

Boxscore tells me Ross only shot the ball twice...in only 6 and a half minutes...

Give him more time on the court to build confidence and it will come.

well maybe if the shots he took were actually open then you could say something, the guy took 2 shots that were defended and maybe even ill-advised he basically shot those 2 just to put up a couple attempts in the game

delfino could always shoot 3s, his problem was the next game he'd probably go 0/6

You said it all right there.

I hope that the kid settles down and shows us more than he did tonight.. and I'm sure that he will.... but TBH I'm just flabbergasted with this whole DD signing thing and I don't see how Ross even fits into this team anymore. Unless we really needed to draft a backup 2?

His hand releases the ball higher up now, which is more "correct", but he lost the feel and pushes the ball.
Anderson did a better job defending George.
I'm not surprised. People who eat up BC's BS are surprised.

i agree
but if you actually listen to the BC interview on the fan 590 earlier today he actually admits to hoping landry would be closer to his rookie year and that he appears to be closer to his 2nd year, so he's actually telling everyone he thinks landry isn't good right now too
he also mentions something about kleiza being crap right now too

Re: Ross....Drummond killed it for the Pistons tonight!

et's go back to making fun of Fields. If it reverse jinxes him into playing better, then Thrill's job here is done. If he continues to suck, then Landry deserves it.

The least he could do is bring his hot GF to the game and sit her behind the opposing bench to distract the opposition. Geez.

delfino was actually better when someone was in his face than when he was wide open
his issue was the inconsistency from game to game
