Does he get gifted 'his' starting role back?

Kind of looking forward to seeing him healthy. I'm guessing he won't play significant minutes the next 5 games or so. Should be interesting.

Gifted? Name me one SF that has should be given that starting role. He'll come off the bench for a while and if nobody outplays him, may as well give it to him. The only player i'd start ahead of him right now is Anderson.

I'd start AA, Pietrus, Ross and Kleiza over him.

Since he hasn't played one game healthy? That would be smart. And typical around here.

He was healthy last year and he sucked. Just saying.

This is true. I would like to see what he could do here while healthy since we gave him a 3yr contract before we throw him under the bus completely. You know, give him a chance perhaps? If for nothing else but to up his value if possible.

His value should go anywhere but up seeing how bad he played "injured." The rest of our wings are pretty much a joke as well. I wouldn't be surprised to see him be the starter some day. But it's best to ease him in. Maybe assuming a role off the bench intially might be best for him. If he ends up putting up some good numbers consistently, I think we might be able to deal him down the road.

Yeah, but that's not starting... that's in a limited role where his shittiness won't be highlighted.... or exposed if you prefer a more apt term!

Mehhh, not one SF has taken the reigns and they've all had the chance. He'll come off the bench for a while and if he shows well he'll eventually be starting again unless someone else steps up consistently.

Yup, all SFs/faux-SFs on this team have been given the chance and have been inconsistent. I'm excited to see what Fields can bring when he's healthy.

We were all putting our prayers and high hopes to keep Bargs on the bench, we forgot about Fields. Serves us right. We are done.

if he's actually healthy, and if his injury was contributing to him not being able to sink a shot or make a layup if his life depended on it, then i don't see how this is bad news.

this reminds me of when Lebron had his some-and-go elbow fake going on.... only this time Landry pulled a Costanza and stood his ground.

I havent forgotten about you Landry. From Simmons most recent article:

2011: 9.7 PPG, 6.4 RPG, 50% FG, 39% 3FG, 77% FT, 13.5 PER.
2012: 8.8 PPG, 4.2 RPG, 46% FG, 26% 3FG, 56% FT, 12.1 PER.
2013: 4.7 PPG, 4.2 RPG, 45% FG, 8% 3FG, 70% FT, 10.2 PER.

Can't wait til next year!
