If he can sabotage Fields, why can't Carmelo sabotage these new guys? Ronnie Brewer is playing great for them (and costs peanuts!).

And, yeah, you'll probably say that they have guys who pass more now, but Lin passed a lot. That "revamp"(ed) roster includes the loss of some talent too, yet they are still 3-0.

Just something to think about, man.

Lol seeing this guy on a basketball court is pathetic. Rasual Butler and Julian Wright were better than this guy.

C'mon.....you did not just insinuate that LF is the reason NY sucked last year...

Lets be serious, NY is winning cause Melo moved to PF and Amare is out. It will be a vastly different team when those 2 incompatible players get back on the court together. Add to that the team has 3 very competent pg's, something they didn't have last year.

I'm not a proponent of Melo 'sabotaging other players' type comments, but I do believe that due to Melo's and Amare's struggles together, many players got caught in the middle. One selfish all star player a team can handle but 2 playing together? Yikes.

Agree, Knicks are playing well when Melo is playing well it's simple as that. He was lights out in the Olympics so i guess he is still on fire (that is assumption on my part, because i didn't even watch NY play)

Yeah, have to admit at the Olympics Melo was fantastic and his play really has carried over into the season. The common denominator is he's been playing PF. At the 4 he's similar to LBJ playing the 4, too big to push around, strong enough to defend other PFs and way to fast to be guarded by opposing PFs.

Amare has a horrible contract & is always injured. If that trade happens... N.Y would thrive & Toronto would suffer.

Toronto would suffer. That's funny shit. It would take Amare to make Toronto suffer.

I bet the filler wouldn't be necessary... but if it's Landry Fields, they'd likely decline!

Amir outperforms Bargs most nights.

Amare would be an upgrade to Bargs, no doubt.

Things aren't going well for him in NY, for sure, but Amare is still a really good PF, even if he's in the wrong situation.

A month ago, not one person would have said this here. lmao

It's amazing how quick opinions change.

BTW, have you seen Amare's contract? He's owed 65Mil over the next 3yrs (garanteed).

Oh, brother.

No, I did not say he is THE reason (singular). My post was speaking specifically to TORaps past claim that Carmelo Anthony was in some way responsible for making Fields shitty on his own. I was picking up on bjjs point, that TORap responded to. That's the context in which my comment was made.

Good, then we have no beef. Too bad you had to suggest that I was insinuating something that I was not.

I don't think Amare is really that selfish. He's been a willing passer in the past.
