He's a gifted scorer. He's actually improved that part of his game this season.... but unless he brings the defense and the intensity EVERY GAME (the way that he did today) he hurts the team... a lot.

What I liked most about Bargs today was that he battled out there... he didn't just wave his arms and move out of the way.... and the way that he got to the line (13 FTAs!) was wonderful to see. Very Bosh-like.

Good for him. As long as he continues to play this way I'll have very little to bitch about.
bosh-like? lol

typical Bosh booster...

if the guy can average 6 or 7 nobody will care because he is starting to get close to dropping 25 a game.

I was pretty impressed with his performance. I said this before you have to start judging barg's rebounding not his numbers but on the number of boards the player he is guarding grabs. He played great D tonight holding KG to 12 points and 8 rebounds. Most notably he didn't allow him to get one Offensive rebound. As long as he is boxing out on the defensive end he is fulfilling his obligation to his team mates.

Man, If he wants and put the effort, He could become unstoppable.
One summer of training like Bosh in his contract year and he is an all star!

He is the easiest raptor to love and hate!

When the raps out rebound the other team ... stop complaining about how many boards Bargs gets ... it's stupid.

I'm surprised no one is making the link to being a better rebounding team with Bosh leaving. I think there is a direct link.

I think there's a direct link between having a difficult time to score and not having Bosh.

Also, don't underestimate the value of Reggie and Amir on the boards.

accuse me of parroting? All the Bargnani hate is constantly recycled to no end. Don't get upset when it's mocked because you made a claim that was ridiculous. Anybody that can score 20+ in the NBA isn't putting up empty points.....

feel free to respond with more hate though.

I'd argue Jamal Crawford when playing with Chicago/NY was scoring some empty points.

Yes, he scored, but they were on bad shots, lack of ball movement etc. He never made it easy.

Another case was Jerry Stackhouse when he led the league in scoring in Detroit for a period of time. Same case.

Bargnani scored 25 "empty points" which achieved us an "empty win."

Bargs played nice, he was being aggressive attacked the rim and hit permiter shots. Also, he was up against one of the best defensive teams in the league.

He is also in a position where the team leans on him to be a scorer. So he may put up some bad shots here and there, but at the end of the day he is a 7 foot shooting guard, it is hard to conetest his shots.

THere was lots of ball movement today, i really do not know wtf your watching, are you expecting Bargs to be the PG ??

And you'll find a lot of people (me included) saying that Bargs played pretty well today.

It's his total body of work that's in question here.

If he plays EVERY game the way that he played today then I think you'll see the hate fall away.

Maybe you should read Claudius' post instead then.... perhaps it'll finally make some sense coming from someone else.
