Default Alan Anderson and John Lucas NEED TO GO

i have been saying it all along for 3 years, Bargs is perfect off the bench...i think if Barg keeps up the good 1 on 1 D off the pine we can keep him. but man OH MAN are AA and Lucas killing the team or what?

dont say AA is giving us good defense because what he gives us on defense he gives away on offense. the dude just thinks he's Rudy Gay or something jacking up contested shots from the 3 point line time after time!! cant believe im saying this but we are missing fields big time because fields knows damn well he cant shoot so he just crashes the boards and out-hustles his opponents creating second chance points for the raptors. Fields' like a mini version of ed davis and amir.....on the other hand anderson just keeps on chuckin, while he's good slashing to the basket he's not doing it enough instead ALWAYS settling for his shitty jump shots.

lucas.....the dude just pounds the ball, he's like the worst version of jose....pounding the rock and NOT making any plays. we lost our lead tonight when AA and Lucas were on the floor together Lucas pounding the rock and passing to AA who settles for a 3......

watching them play is pure torture

Absolutely, game completely changed when Lucas came on the floor.

Or be buried on the bench. Both are sweet locker room guys, and both have good games here and there, but they aren't rotation players on a winning team.

they are rotational screw ups for the team....and shout out to Casey for his inability to draw up inbound plays again

none of them need to go, but both of them need to not see the court in the regular rotation
there's not excuse for AA to be on the court now if all those SFs are available now
we can't do anything about JL3 unless another PG gets signed and can bump him from 2nd string

it was frustrating watching alan anderson be a ball stopper with lowry, derozan and gay on the floor. i sort of understood it when everyone was injured and anderson was basically the main offensive option on the floor. now though he's showing an inability or unwillingness to adjust his new spot in the pecking order and its maddening.

AA only took 7 shots. Seeing him miss easy shots is definitely painful. I was glad to see him finally make a couple.

Nobody shot particularly well aside from Amir. Rudy and DeMar missed way too many shots.

it wasnt the shots as much as it was the complete hindrance of ball movement. there were a couple times youre right where he passed the ball off a drive, but they weren't passes that facilitated ball movement and shifting of the defense, just passes that came because the shot wasn't there first.

those missed shots from AA happened the same time we gave away our 10 point lead if i remembered correctly AA should NOT be shooting at all when Lowry, Demar and Rudy are on the floor period

Rudy was brutal tonight tho despite his 25 pts

i cringe when i see alan anderson on the floor. hes way to streaky and up and down. he is either horrid or decent. not consistent enough down the stretch.

He didn't shoot the ball well but he played his ass off and effected the game in other ways.

the last 2 games we lost, AA was the ball stopper.....not on defense but on offense, the ball would just stop when it hits AA and there would be an iso for him...like serious wtf

Sure - if that's particularly well. Neither shot the volume of Gay and DeRozan. And most of Bargnani's makes were in the first half. Lowry could have been ridden a bit more. And he might need to play more minutes.

We have to wait until the end of the season to get rid of either or both Lucas and AA. I remember most people here were sold-out on Lucas for "owning" LeBron last season. Funny how things turning out right now.

We'd likely get only cash considerations from trading either of them, tbh.

Yeah - his head is in a very different place. He had been a guy that moved the ball quite well. He's basically seeing the end of his NBA career, so it's understandable. If he could go back to fighting hard for the team and forgetting what he needs to do to survive another year it would make a big difference.

true, but his 1-7 from 3 could be turned into some points if the ball was given to lowry to penetrate and create. Rudy missed TWO back to back 3s during that stretch when we lost our 10 point lead, the rest of the misses were from mr. Anderson. but yes i do credit Rudy for all the other rebounds and steals though

Don't see why we can't give a young PG a 10 day contract and some minutes. If he outplays JLIII, waive Pietrus and keep him, if not, no harm no foul

Anderson took like one bad shot in the game. Dude was the best defender on the court. A huge let down for this team was when Gay switched onto Pierce in the third and immediately gave him two wide open threes.

Anderson needs communication right now... he needs support from his teammates - he's questioning his own shot selection and his confidence is gone. Without Jose - who is the player that is going to do that?

If Casey was fighting for the playoffs he wouldn't of given Lowry a rest right as he was taking over the game. But I can't understand Casey - his team can be executing great but the way he manages the bench makes no sense at times. He brought Demar in for Bargnani like 4 minutes to late.

Anderson stopped the ball movement that is just as bad as taking bad shots if not worse....his good defense only leads to his shitty offense

and u can bet casey WILL sub lowry off if he's hot no matter what stage of the season we are in, DC is just bad at managing rotations.
