Yep. He's just a solid player. I liked him when he played in Pitt and I remember he played extremely well for the Bulls in the playoffs.

Good defensive player, has a limited offensive game, but he doesn't really force anything. Hell, I'd have no problem keeping him as back up big from here on.

I'm liking a lot of the players we've signed so far. Some grit, defensive minded players that'll keep us competitive.

He'll barely play imo. Still think Johnson might even play some at Center.

Why, what has really changed this season from last? We were surprisingly fun to watch last season and we're adding some good grit and hustle players (better than what we had last season imo).

Add in the added development of DeRozan, Davis and Bargnani we should be fun and won't have problem to really score points.

So, I'm trying to figure out, why we'll be difficult to watch.

How about zero defense aside from maybe Davis, zero 3-pt. shooting aside from one-trick pony AB, zero athleticism aside from J. Johnson and DeRozan, sub-par at PG, zero franchise players, etc.? Talk about a gross team...

So you're saying there could be no internal growth that would make us better?

Add in a defensive system and yeah, we may lose games, but if we're competitive, playing hard and showing growth on an individual and team basis then I don't see how we'll be hard to watch.

In fact, what would be hard to watch, is 'going for it now' knowing that we're no where and just end up fodder for some of the top teams in the playoffs. THAT would be difficult to watch.

i like the signing. he's a decent back-up who'll be able to step up when he's called upon. i wouldn't be surprised if he saw here as an opportunity to set himself up for a decent contract next season. i remember reading in simmons free agency article that gray be looking for a long term contact for about 5 million a season. i guess this would be the next best thing.

How about watching Bayless grow as a PG, how about watching Davis for a full year and building off a successful 2nd half, how about watching a coach who is calling for accountability on the defensive side, how about watching a couple of guys in Gray and Magloire who know how to protect the paint, how about seeing if DeRozan has developed that 3 pt. shot and has moved on to the next level and maybe taking over games, how about seeing if Calderon is healthy (for the first time in a few years), how about seeing if AB takes that step we've all been waiting for and maybe, just maybe being that 'franchise guy'.....talk about skepticism.

I'm honestly pretty excited for this team, more so than I was for the team when we had Turk for the full year.

he'll start for us for as long as Bargs is our starting power forward. it's not like he'll receive starters minutes with both davis and johnson waiting for theirs.
