Default 9 news guys, same team, same problems

With all the new faces and all the changing faces(coaches as well) over the last few years this team always has the same problems. We dont play hard and we dont defend. The season is shaping up exactly like last year. I think n we even have the same record as we did this time last year.

So you have to ask yourself what are the constants on the team to make this problem happen? With all the changes you have to look at what's been the same. Well that points to the core of the team. Bosh,Bargs and Calderon. The experiment has not worked and it's time to pull the plug. No it's not too early.

IMO Bargs and Calderon must go. As they are the 2 most suspects of this issue but of course Bosh is not without blame here. Unfortunately, Bosh will probably go himself.

1. Calderon is not a legit starting pg in the NBA. We crowned him a starter after a nice 2 week stretch when TJ was hurt. However outside of that he has been very average with a lot of deficiencies. He is a useful player but moreso to me a bench type player.

2. Bargs plays like a guard - heart. We need a true center. Perhaps on another team like Charlotte or some team with lack of scoring but plenty of hustle he would be a marvel but for us not what we need.

Problem here is I dont think BC will ever admit his mistake on Bargs. He has invested too much into him with contracts, time and the #1 pick. If he were to trade Bargs I think he admits huge failure and I just dont see him doing it. Calderon he could part with since it was not "his" player.

Anyways.... I am tired of this team. If they lost close games and had no talent I would be more into them. I hope BC moves this core out and admits it aint working but I just have my doubts. Other fixes like changing starting lineups are not the answer.

2 weeks? T.J missed about 4 months. Not only that, the prior season he outplayed T.J on many nights.

As for him not being a legit PG, horseshit! He's better then half the PG's in the league. The only way he's not a legit PG is if he's the worst starter in the league, which is laughable.

BC picked up Bargs because he knew Bosh would leave some day (maybe lol). ANYWAYS, I rather trade Jose+Bosh than Jose+Bargs. Have Bargs play power forward, somehow get a legit center and a decent point guard and we're good to go.

well Bosh stuck with us this far and hes probably gonna leave via sign and trade, we need a better pg and not only defensive center but one that isnt an overated offensive Pf/C (Bargniani)

I still think the Raptors don't have a problem talentwise.

It's all about execution and mental toughness imo. Which could be fixed with a good coach, I think

It also doesn't help when the biggest free agent pickup we've ever had is not earning his $10 million. sorry, but Hedo has been a dissapointment so far. He should be stepping up, but instead he's making himself very much a background player.

Where is his coolness under pressure? His want to take and make the big shot? I haven't seen it.

and yeah, like Mr4thQuarter said, mental toughness is a big problem.

Hedo hasn't played too great that's true. Some games he did but I think inconsistency is affecting the whole team atm, and Hedo has always had a knack for inconsistency himself.

He's a streaky shooter, but also a streaky player, as in good spells and bad spells I think.

Hopefully it has something to do with his hip injury and gelling with the rest of the team as well, finding the right balance of how much he should have the ball and Josť and things like that. We'll see, but I have seen one game or two where his playmaking really was awesome, it may have been vs the Jazz in the second half, and a lot of the open looks he created were missed too. Gave me the feeling that everything can still turn out ok though. Offensively that is.

With increased and continuous defensive intensity I'm still confident Raps should make the playoffs hands down. And be threat to whoever they face except perhaps the Magic.

But that defensive intensity needs to be there. The coach has to instill it. Any which way he can. If he can't he's unfit.
