Default 50

Kinda funny how so many of you were estimating close to 50 wins.

GM chose Turk (offense) over Matrix (defense) and it shows every game... Ya they score a lot but they can't stop my dead grandmother from getting a double double...

I'm still doubting they'll make 30 wins. It'll be close. Sigh!

Please, i know i predicted 45+ wins. But the talent on this team is there for at least 45 wins. And put in the right system with a decent coach this team is a better defensive team then this. Disagree with me all you want, but some of these players have been good defenders elsewhere but under this inflexible shitty coaching staff these players look disinterested and it's pretty obvious they don't trust each other or the system/philosophy.

It's funny to see so many jumping ship after 1 month. NBA season is a marathon, not a sprint. We'll save you a seat on the bandwagon when you come back singing the praises of this team in February/March.

A team with less talent started 7 and 14 a few years ago and ended with 47 wins. It ain't over yet.

i dont think any of us expected us to suck so hard on d, so ya, i thought we'd be in the high 40's in terms of wins.

in retrospect (the most wonderfully un-creditable source of debate) i feel like a dumbass for thinking 45+ wins.

i agree that the nba season is a marathon not a sprint however and it is early doors still.

For me, I look at this roster and can't help but think that these guys are under-achieving. That has been the most frustrating thing for me. This team has the personnel and the athleticism to be an average to good defensive team and it's just not happening.

Having said that I've seen this team play very, very good basketball for stretches and that keeps me optimistic. Even the defense has worked in spurts. There's just too much skill and talent here for me to give up on this squad so easily.

Yeah, but that was also with an Eastern conference with a lot less talent than this one too. Oh and by the way that team did play some defence, this team plays none whatsoever.

'sup Jakkal. Good to hear from you.

I know you didn't have much faith in this team when it was being put together, so i'm assuming there is a slight sense of "told you so", eh?

For the record, i never assumed they'd be a 50 win team. I was more in thinking they'd be a 45 win team - which i still think is totally possible.

I think a good deal of their problems are related to confidence. Especially with Turkoglu, Belinelli, Jack, Wright. Those guys are slumping right now and they'll break out of it.

heck, I was saying 50 wins a few days ago. I still think it's possible based on talent and schedule, but I'd say chances are under 1% at this point

I felt a little bit of enthusiasm slipping away from me when I saw Evans go down the way he did.

I haven't watched every game because they are so pathetic. The times I've seen the D "work in spurts" has usually been when the oppositions been too tired.

heh lad.

Ya i've been away a while. No real reason to follow this team closely. Trying to blank out this season from my mind. Unfortunately all those long term contracts don't give me much hope for the future.

I realize a lot of you didn't estimate 50 wins but their were a lot who did.

IMO BC failed. Not because of his ability to trade, but he tried fixing what wasn't broken. They showed signs of being decent when Matrix joined the team. All BC needed to do was upgrade the bench. Not saying Matrix would have signed but it would have been interesting to see on the floor this season. Would he have been overpayed, yup... But Turk is overpayed, Jack is way overpayed... so pays not the issue.

BC also made the bench too deap. They all want game time and now the teams in a mess. Definately not a situation Bosh will want to stay in.

Not gonna even mention his pick for a coach.

I've never seen a team consistently get blown away like this team does. They are way overmatched. Even bad teams score triple digits against them.

I hope they win 45 but I just don't see it. 30's about right... On the positive side we might get decent draft picks for the next 4-5 years.

I'll put it this way: I think this team - this assembled group of guys - is more than capable of winning 40someodd games. Hell they've already shown us they CAN win against some good teams...

However, we clearly have a problem that the coaches can't fix or at least don't seem to want to fix. This much is clear.

The sooner this problem gets resolved the sooner we can go on to salvaging this season. Yes i actually think we can still have a good year.
