30 Million dollar curve ball?

Near the end of the regular season I was told once the Toronto Raptors abandoned hope of re-signing Chris Bosh they would ask him where he wanted to go and then seek out sign-and-trade possibilities with those teams. Last week I was told of a different script, one that involved the Raptors seeking out the best deals on their own, then giving Bosh a list of teams he could go to if he wanted to sign-and-trade to get the most money. The Raptors list might look very different from Bosh's list. Once again, it's going to come down to a choice between money or legacy.

Impressive on BC's part. Either we get a good deal or Bosh loses 30 million. I'd rather lose Bosh for nothing instead of pieces that don't suit us.

S&T needs to benefit both parties.
No reason for us to help Bosh get more money if what we get back isn't needed.
Our best bet to help Raps is a S&T of some sort that brings back some pieces for the future.

There are players who settle for less cash for a chance to win a championship. However those are players who are in the twlight of their career and who have made their money in the league (Barkley joining Houston, Karl Malone joining Lakers, Payton joining Lakers & Miami). Have you seen a player in his prime sacrifice max contract with max money. I know Chris Webber hated Sacramento, and Antonio Davis didn't want go back to Toronto, but they let money make their decisions. I don't think Chris Bosh sacrifices $30 million on the table.
