andrea in his last 7 games before he got hurt averaged above 22 a game, so he did it after his injury

fans who criticize andrea for not playing great in his first 10 games have to remember he sat around a ton, couldn't excercise properly and his body was out of shape, he had to get back to game speed, shape etc...

i remember Bosh got hurt in two seasons, 06 where he missed games early, it took him 6 or 7 games to get back to allstart bosh, Bosh got hurt again during that jermaine oneal season, and he took 10 games to get his legs back and his explosiveness

but because its Bargs and the fans lose there minds when he struggles they get all over him

just look at the stats in his last 7 games he played this season, it wasn't just the beginning of the season it was all in the end of andreas season also

I've previously posted a breakdown of those 7 games. He still didn't have the rebounding tenacity (for Bargs, 7 a game) he had in the 13 game stretch (was back to his usual 5.5 ish), but he was actually measurably better offensively in his final 7 than in his first 13. He was pretty much unstoppable in those final 7 - and was a big reason why the team went 4-3 in that stretch (4-2 if you don't include the game he only played 13 minutes in before he got hurt).

I expect either ross or DD to be a 20 ppg scorer, and since ross isn't proven that he can, well neither is DD but he's much more proven, I can see DD being the one given second offensive option in which case, with three years of training, experience, and ref respect, I can see averaging 20 ppg.

since ross is a 3 point shooter, his points will come off less shots, so say he takes 10 shots a game, and makes 5 of them, I can see him averaging 15/game.

there you have it.

Bargs is a horrible rebounder for a starting big who plays 30 or more minutes a game. Also, he isn't exactly efficient on offense.

Dude, that's just shit you say to antagonize. The guy spreads the floor for every other player on the court and while his numbers suggest he's more inefficient than others, you have to understand the difference between guys that can stretch the floor and utilize more of a shot-based attack. You say he's inefficient, but there wasn't anybody else on this team that could have been relied on for consistent scoring. So while he's not getting you an extra two rebounds a game, he is doing more than just shooting for the flow of the offense.

who else on the team was doubled consistantly? who else on the team did teams game plan for? who else on the team have other coaches consistantly deemed very dangerous on offence? knock on Bargs all you want, but his scoring ability is among the best in this league. that's a 7 footer right there!

He needs to really work on his 3 point shot to 38/40% or more. With Lowry attacking the paint and Fields and Ross/Derozan slashing through the lane, there will be a lot of kick outs to Bargnani for 3's. If he's nailing those, it will open up lanes for him when defenders run out to defend the shot and he can blow past them for lay-ups/dunks or pass off to the weak side for easy buckets.

A better thing to see this year, more than rebounding stats, is a raising of apg.

So was the best player on every other team. Bargnani is not going to be scoring 24 ppg in 3 years.

Bosh as a number one option eventually averaged 24/10. Bargnani as a number one option the last two years is averaging 20/5.5

Bosh is a more efficient scorer and rebounder, period!

Not only that Bosh had little scoring around him when he was here for the most part. And really had to carry this team. In three years if Bargnani is in the same position Bosh was in most of his time here it means we have no other bigtime players. In other word, In 3yrs if this team is built properly Bargnani won't be our main option or at the very least is just part of a more balanced team offensively. And when/if that happens he won't get as many shots and his numbers won't be better, at least his PPG.

More scoring around him than what Bosh had = Less shots for Bargnani. And that should start this season with Lowry here who is an offensive threat.

But Bargnani had those 13 game and 7 game all-star type of play stretches last season. There is no way Bosh is better than him
