Yes DD is kicking ass, but i have feeling that Ross will be better in a long run

Regarding DD, someone from the other board I'm on stated that is he better offensively than last year - yes. is he a longterm piece for the raps-i'd prefer to deal him and let another team pay for the privilege of finding out. <--That's how I feel about DD atm.

Also, Ross is on a rookie contract

I'd like to see Ross get to the basket or display some sort of consistent post-up game before I take him over DD.... but if it comes down to paying DD $10M/yr for 4 years or keeping Ross on the cheap I guess that'd make sense (unless DD REALLY blows up this year).

My worst fear is that Ross'll end up as just another Raptor who falls in love with his jumper and doesn't do much else when it isn't falling.

I'm liking Ross, he's taking relatively good shots. Some times they fall, sometimes not. He's getting acclimated to NBA ball.

Fields has been really disappointing. Not just shooting the ball bit he looks so out of place offensively.. Poor spacing, doesn't know when to cut and when to look for the ball.. Hopefully it's just chemistry issues.

If Fields can start to hit open shots we should be okay ... he has not shown this as of yet, nor did he last year in NY. He is a smart guy and I'm sure will be willing to put in the time to improve ...

With AA on the team, we have a solid 2 way player ... I won't be surprised to see him move up the depth chart and steal the starting 3 position if Linas and Fields continue playing as they are ... This will be a big kick in the stones for BC ... embarrassing or what

Why do you think half of us wanted Harrison Barnes so badly.

I worry, its`what I do.
I'm worried too and not to travel in the past but the Raps shot themselves in the foot by winning the final game of last season when if they lost,#6 overall would've been theirs to draft Harrison Barnes. He would've been a great SF prospect for this team. Then they shot themselves in the foot again by signing Fields to that deal without knowing if it would guarantee them to land Nash.

I'm in favor of starting Linas. He's healthy now and his good Olympic run was no fluke. He could build off that but he needs to be in starting rotation with the best players where he can disguise his game.

I also would try two SG's with DD defending the SF spot because it force him to play better defense guarding those stronger players (Pierce,Melo,James,Granger,etc..). On offense,he's more of a slasher anyway.

I think Fields can help but he shouldn't just be starting because he signed a big contract. If he can be more consistent with his open corner shot that would be helpful.

Fields is a great fit in starting lineup
Moves the ball
Doesn't take bad shots, but can shoot or attack the rim with confidence in shotclock situations
Good running mate for Demar

I don't think he's a starting player in most places.... he's an unproven player, I don't see how he's a great fit yet.... I think thats TBD.

Let's no forget that Landry's been a 2 in the NBA for a while now. It's gonna take him a few games to get adjusted to the 3 spot.
